Port Stephens Councillor Leah Anderson was stunned to learn public toilets in many key locations in the LGA were without Sanitary bins.

Some of these locations include the brand new sportsgrounds/amenities at Nelson Bay, the key tourist hot spot of Shoal Bay, nor are any located at the Nelson Bay netball courts used by many hundreds of girls and women each week.

Music charity Support Act, in conjunction with the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne, has unveiled the findings of its first-ever Mental Health and Wellbeing in Music and Live Performing Arts survey.

Just over 1,300 people who work professionally in the music and live performing arts industries took part in the survey in March and April this year nationally, and the results are a stark wake-up call for the sector.
