The first day of school is set to return to its original date in the fall for Anchorage School District students, according to the district superintendent.

The Anchorage Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting near 34th Avenue and Bering Street Wednesday morning which left the suspect and a K9 officer wounded.

 The only LGBTQ+ nonprofit health clinic in Alaska will be closing this month.
