An Anchorage teen changed his plea to guilty Thursday as part of a plea agreement in the death of a 17-year-old Service High School student killed in a drunk driving crash in 2024.

An avalanche impacted part of a lower-mountain chairlift Thursday at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, closing the lift to skiers and snowboarders, officials said.
