Relentless snowfall contributed to dangerous road conditions Tuesday in Anchorage and other areas of Southcentral Alaska, authorities say.

All Anchorage School District after-school activities, sports and community rentals were canceled Tuesday due to poor weather conditions, according to district officials.

University of Alaska Anchorage stayed open until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, leaving students to navigate challenging winter conditions to get to class.
