Up to a foot of snow has fallen in areas across Southcentral as of Tuesday, with more expected into Wednesday morning.

Anchorage Street Maintenance has begun round-the-clock plow operations after a winter storm dumped 12 to 14 inches of snow in different parts of the city on Monday and Tuesday.

Transfer sites in the Fairbanks North Star Borough saw trash build up over the weekend, as contractor Alaska Waste ran limited operations on Friday before suspending cleanup activities on Saturday and Sunday due to the cold weather.
