In this week’s edition, Richland Source City Editor Carl Hunnell picks up a conversation from last week with former Mansfield police Chief Phil Messer, who served in the MPD for 34 years, the last eight as chief, before retiring in 2010.
Hunnell and Messer discuss some of the crazier stories they encountered from the perspective of Messer, as well as Hunnell, who was on the cops and courts beat at the Mansfield News Journal during Messer's time with the MPD.
