More than 5000 UP, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh migrants working in factories as labourers have fled to their home state, fearing violent attacks on them amidst unabated incidents of violence targeting them in north Gujarat districts.. These migrants were forced to leave the state amid fear after attacks by the angry mob over the alleged rape of a 14-month-old minor in Sabarkantha district last week. The attack on the migrants has created a sense of fear in the minds of the working class who have traveled a long distance just to earn a living. The heinous crime conducted by an individual has brought the entire community under the radar. The question is how can the entire community be responsible for an individual's act. Rather than attacking the entire community, the representatives should have come together to raise the issue of security of the minors first and not creating a rift within our society.

The Bombay Stock Exchange and the S&P Index has recently crashed by 806.47 points to close at 35169.16 on thursday. The Supreme Court, in a majority opinion of 4:1 on 28th of september , lifted the centuries-old practice of prohibiting women aged between 10 and 50 years from entering the Sabrimala Temple in Kerala. ''Right to pray'' in the temple for women between 10 and 50 years of age won over the 'right to wait' campaign where the SC said that the Patriarchy cannot trump the freedom to practice religion. Just when many women across the country welcomed the Supreme Court verdict allowing women to enter Sabarimala temple, a different kind of opinion seems to be taking shape by some devotees.

The Supreme Court has delivered one of the most keenly awaited judgment in Sabarimala case. by a 4:1 majority, the Court has permitted entry of women of all age groups to the Sabarimala temple, holding that ‘devotion cannot be subjected to gender discrimination. A Constitution Bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices R Nariman, AM Khanwilkar, DY Chandrachud, and Indu Malhotra by a 4:1 majority, had struck down Rule 3(b) of the Kerala Hindu Places of Public Worship that is Authorisation of Entry rules of 1965, which was the basis for barring entry of women between the ages of 10 and 50 years to the Sabarimala temple.
