On this week’s program, Ann Baldwin and guest host Beth Conner talk with Beth’s daughter Amanda Conner, a 6 th grade Math teacher about some of the pros and cons of distance learning after COVID-19 forced teachers and students out of their classrooms and learning from home. While this has been a major adjustment for teachers across the country, Amanda talks about some of the issues have been addressed, in her school community, from providing Chromebooks and hotspots to those student’s who didn’t have access to the technology, to the importance of family support in their kids education during this pandemic. Hear from Amanda herself how teachers have had to get more creative, as well as how curriculums have been revised to deliver online instruction with the goal of delivering the best education possible in these challenging times.
