32nd Senate District Debate- There are three candidates this year in the 32nd District State Senate race. State Sen. Jennifer Shilling, D-La Crosse is facing a challenge from former Sen. Dan Kapanke, R-La Crosse and Integrity Party candidate Chip DeNure of La Crosse. They debate issues ranging from education to transportation and health care.

Voting and Aging- We talk with a panel about political issues that get seniors to the polls and matters like access to the polls and voting that affect an aging population.

94th Assembly District Debate- The candidates in the 94th Assembly District representing La Crosse County residents outside of the city of La Crosse meet to talk about their positions on issues. They are incumbent state Rep. Steve Doyle ( D-Onalaska ) and challenger Julian Bradley. (R-Holmen)

96th Assembly District Interview- We talk with Alicia Leinberger, D-Viroqua, challenger to 96th Assembly District state Rep. Lee Nerison, R-Westby, about her positions on the issues. Nerison has held the post for the past 12 years. He was invited to debate Leinberger, but he chose to not participate.

Operation River Watch- We mark the 10th year anniversary of Operation River Watch, a volunteer organization made up largely of students from Viterbo University, Western Technical College and UW-La Crosse, which patrols Riverside Park in La Crosse on weekends in the early morning hours. The group was formed in response to a series of intoxicated young men drowning in the Mississippi River. Since it formed, the drowning deaths in Riverside Park have stopped.

The Economics of Aging- Our guests contemplate the economics of aging, everything from why it's harder to retire to why more current and future seniors are expected to stay in or rejoin the workforce.

Improving Mental Health Awareness- We explore breaking down stigma surrounding behavioral health through two very different stories. A Winona family which lost a child to suicide earlier this year has started a foundation designed to get people talking more about mental health issues. Also, more on a $1.5 million grant given to the La Crosse Medical Health Science Consortium to improve the coordination of mental health services in La Crosse County.

La Crosse Library Consolidation- La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat has proposed merging the city's libraries with La Crosse County. Kabat and La Crosse County Board Chair Tara Johnson talk about the viability of the idea and if it could lead to other government service consolidation.

Weather Ready Nation- Heavy August rainfall has meant widespread flooding in the Coulee Region. We talk about the wet weather and an initiative from the National Weather Service called Weather Ready Nation; a partnership designed to improve severe weather readiness.

The Arts and Aging- A look at regional arts programs including the visual arts, theater and music programs that have a therapy component to them, or at times cater to someone as they grow older.
