• 1942 Red Wings remain the only team to lose Stanley Cup Final after leading 3-0 as Florida beats Edmonton 2-1 in Game 7.  Despite loss, Edmonton's Connor McDavid wins Conn Smythe Trophy as Playoff MVP.
• Tigers fall to league best Phillies 8-1,  Tigers host Philadelphia again tonight at 6:40 from Comerica Park, 6:15 pregame on WSJM.
• White Sox held to 5 hits in 3-0 shutout loss to Dodgers.  LA at Sox at 8:10.
• Cubs blow 4-0 lead, as Giants win on bases loaded walk 5-4.  Cubs at Giants at 9:45.
• Northwestern U. breaks ground on new football stadium at the site of the old Ryan Field.   NU to play home games at Soccer/Lacrosse complex with added seats for the next two years.  Michigan is at NU in 2025.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is investigating a large number of dead gulls that have been seen along Napier Avenue and Pipestone Road in Benton Township this week.

Tuesday will bring the third Whirlpool Foundation Day of Impact in Benton Harbor as more than 120 volunteers work to spruce up Charles Yarbrough Park.

Need a girl in your life who also needs you? Well, we have the perfect dog for you! Our sweet Paris came to us after a very rough start in life, but she is resilient. Paris is 6 years old, weighs about 40 pounds, and appears to be a Border Collie Mix. Paris is a very smart girl, eager to please, walks easily on-leash, loves people, and is a volunteer favorite. Paris might be a bit shy when you first meet her, but once she knows you we can pretty reliably predict that she will become your Heart Dog. Sadly, Paris is heartworm positive and will be treated with funds from Friends of Berrien County Animal Control. The adoption fee for Paris is sponsored.. but if you're not ready to adopt we will be happy to allow a Berrien County resident to foster or foster-to-adopt, something we're not usually able to do, but we love her so much and want to see her settled in a home so badly! Paris is at Berrien County Animal Control, 1400 South Euclid Avenue, Benton Harbor, MI 49022.
