A powerful memoir from one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent survivors has brought renewed attention to the abuse, trafficking and failures surrounding the disgraced financier. Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice tells Virginia Giuffre’s story in her own words, documenting her experiences with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, her fight to hold powerful people accountable, and her years of advocacy for survivors of sexual abuse and trafficking. Completed before her death in April 2025, the memoir was published posthumously on October 21, 2025, preserving Giuffre’s account and her efforts to push for greater awareness and justice. Pickering Councillor Lisa Robinson found herself at the centre of controversy once again in 2025. In February, Robinson was accused of ongoing disruptive and harassing behaviour toward City of Pickering staff, prompting city officials to take measures they said were necessary to protect employees and maintain a harassment-free workplace. The controversy added another chapter to the long-running tensions between Robinson, Pickering officials and fellow council members. Later in 2025, an Integrity Commissioner investigation into separate conduct concluded that Robinson had made misleading or false statements about the City during a November 2024 town hall.
