From the shocking 1993 murders of three young boys in West Memphis, Arkansas, to the convictions of Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley Jr., the hosts explore the investigation, the evidence, and the many questions that continue to surround the case decades later.

West Memphis Three. In 1993, three eight-year-old boys—Stevie Branch, Christopher Byers, and Michael Moore—were murdered in West Memphis, Arkansas. Teenagers Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley Jr. were later convicted of the killings.

The case would become one of America’s most debated criminal cases, raising serious questions about the investigation, the evidence presented at trial, allegations of a coerced confession, and the influence of the era’s “Satanic Panic.” After spending approximately 18 years in prison, Echols, Baldwin, and Misskelley were released in 2011 after entering Alford pleas, allowing them to maintain their innocence while formally pleading guilty.

Sony has officially announced a major change to the future of PlayStation, confirming that physical game disc production for new releases will be discontinued beginning in January 2028. After the cutoff, new PlayStation games will be distributed digitally through the PlayStation Store and participating retailers.

The announcement marks a significant step toward an all-digital future for PlayStation and has sparked debate among gamers over physical game ownership, collecting, preservation, resale and consumer choice. Sony says existing physical releases and games scheduled to launch on disc before January 2028 will not be affected.

Research in mice suggests that exposure to tiny plastic particles may alter molecular signals carried by sperm, potentially changing how certain genes are regulated and even influencing the health of future offspring. Other studies have also linked polystyrene microplastic exposure in mice to sperm DNA damage, reduced sperm quality and disruptions to normal reproductive processes. While researchers are still determining what these findings mean for humans, the growing evidence raises important questions about how everyday exposure to microplastics could affect fertility and reproductive health over the long term.

What happens to your blood sugar when you take melatonin? While melatonin is best known as a sleep aid, researchers have also been studying how it may affect insulin, glucose levels, and the way the body regulates blood sugar. Durham Region could soon see a new approach to addressing homelessness with plans for a 50-cabin transitional housing community.
