Hey Family,

Several years ago, we came up with how we wanted to describe RHOW's mission. This is how we explain it to anyone who asks: We exist to SHARE the good news of Jesus Christ; HELP hurting people at the point of their need, and EQUIP all to reach others for Christ. In these three ways, we show the love of Christ to all who come to our doors, and we also take his love out to the world.

This Sunday we welcome Pastor Tyler Stanton from Trinity Grace Church, who will be speaking to us on evangelism. How often do you SHARE your love of Jesus with another person? I look forward to seeing you at 10 a.m.

Hey Family,

Everybody feels ashamed at some point. Maybe we betray a loved one, or let down a friend who badly needs our help. Maybe we tell a major lie to cover up for ourselves, or cheat on a bill.

Shame can be painful and hold us back from fully embracing the love of God and His call on our lives. But Jesus' power is greater than the shame that holds us down. This Sunday we will be talking about God’s power to transform our shame into our glory. Please join me in welcoming our guest speaker, Pastor Drew Jackson of Hope Church. Every moment we are awake, we are making decisions and exercising our free will to choose. Our choices are influenced by many factors, and as a result of these factors we develop a perspective. What is influencing your perspective?

We live in a culture and a society that is divided and suspicious of one another. This does not have to be the case in God's family. Join us this week as we look at the Scriptures to understand how we can become a church community that loves one another in the midst of our differences.

Our series "This Is Us" concludes on Sunday when pastor Zac Martin will talk about the power of prayer. Praying for each other is one of the most powerful things we can do as members of a church body. When another person is in pain, or suffering a loss, or in need of encouragement and restoration, any of us can pray for them. And when *we* need prayer, we are urged to reach out and ask others to pray for us.

Merry Christmas! It's interesting how at this time of the year, when so many things are going on, many people feel a sense of elation and joy and laughter--and others feel a deep sense of loss, an deepening of the heartache and pain that they may have felt all year. I want to invite you to come this Sunday, when we find out that Christmas is the solution for every single stage of life. Christmas is the solution for when we find ourselves in great joy, and Christmas is the solution when we find ourselves in great woe.

As Christmas approaches, what do you look forward to? Celebrating with family? A special gift from a certain someone? Fun and food with friends?

This Sunday we'll focus on what Christmas is really all about. More than 2,000 years ago, angels spoke to a group of lonely men and told them what they could look forward to. God chose the lowest of the low to be the first to hear the amazing good news about the birth of Christ. I look forward to sharing more with you this Sunday at 10 a.m.
