49ers news starts the 49ers clinching the NFC West and the #1 overall seed in the NFC. San Francisco now has a bye this week and can focus on getting healthy and then will play the lowest winning seed from Wildcard weekend for their first playoff game in the Divisional round.

Host Thomas Mott breaks down this as well as gives grades to the 49ers following their 26-21 win against Seattle on Sunday night.

The 49ers 26-21 win over the Seahawks was one of the most exciting games in recent history. San Francisco jumped out to an early 13-0 lead only to watch Seattle climb all the way back and have a shot to win it all as time expired. The 49ers defense stood tall and got the last stop when they needed to. Overall the defense held Russell Wilson in check and made sure Marshawn Lynch did not beat them on the ground.

Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers offense moved the ball when they needed to. Raheem Mostert ran for two touchdowns and WR Deebo Samuel caught 5 balls for 102 yards and also had a rushing touchdown. This 49ers offense is as healthy as it has been all season and can do some real damage in the postseason.

49ers rumors center a few injuries that keep plaguing the 49ers. Safety Jaquiski Tartt has been out the last month with a rib injury and appears to be close to returning. Tartt practiced in a non-contact jersey this week which means he could be set to return for the playoffs. Running back Matt Breida has been MIA the past few weeks it seems with little touches out of the backfield. Could the 49ers be resting him? Host Thomas Mott breaks these rumors down and more on today’s Mailbag Video.

49ers rumors are the center of discussion in today’s 49ers Mailbag Video. Will the 49ers trade for OBJ? How many of their own free agents can the 49ers keep this offseason? Are the LA Rams better than we think? Host Thomas Mott answers these questions and more in today’s video

The 49ers running game has been a curious case for the past 3 weeks. Over the last three games, the 49ers have relied heavily on 3rd string RB Raheem Mostert instead of the usual starting duo of Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida. Breida and Coleman have been almost non-existent over the last few games. Will this change on Saturday against the Rams?

The Kansas City Chiefs have won the Terrell Suggs sweepstakes as they claimed him off waivers and reeled in the the 7-time NFL Pro Bowl defensive end. What does it mean for the Chiefs defense and upcoming playoff run? Host Harrison Graham gets you caught up on the Suggs news plus more Chiefs rumors and news.

The Cardinals released Terrell Suggs late last week and reports surfaced that Suggs was angling to return to the Baltimore Ravens and that he would unlikely report to any other team that claimed him. That has since been debunked as Suggs has informed the Chiefs that he will report and play for Kansas City. Suggs is a major signing for the Chiefs as they lost Alex Okafor for the season with a torn pec in the win over the Broncos on Sunday. Suggs should plug right into his spot opposite of Frank Clark on the Chiefs’ defensive line.

Patrick Mahomes has been dealing with injuries throughout the 2019 NFL season, but he looked healthy as ever with a monster game against the Broncos in Week 15. He threw for 340 yards and 2 touchdowns in the snow in the Chiefs 23-3 win over Denver. Is he back to being 100% healthy?

The Chiefs Playoff Picture is still in flux as Kansas City can be anywhere from the #1 to #4 seed in the AFC. The Chiefs most likely scenario still remains the 3-seed. ESPN’s Bill Barnwell suggested that the Steelers would be a team that Kansas City would like to avoid in the playoffs. Harrison completely debunks that thought in today’s show.

NFL Playoff picture for NFC and AFC entering Week 16 of the 2019 NFL Season plus playoff clinching scenarios! Which NFL teams would be in the 2019 playoffs if they started today and which teams are leading their divisions? Chat Sports’ Mitchell Renz host of NFL Daily breaks down the up to date 2019 NFL Playoff Picture for both the AFC & NFC.

NFC Playoff Picture is much deeper but has a new #1 also, the Seahawks beat the Panthers 30-24 and the 49ers lost to the Cardinals. The Packers hold the #2 seed and can clinch the NFC North with one more win, Green Bay can clinch a first round bye with two wins. The Saints took care of the Colts and hold the #3 seed, they have already clinched the NFC South. The Cowboys and Eagles play in Week 16 and the likely winner of this game wins the NFC East. The Vikings need just one win to clinch while the Rams need Minnesota to lose both weeks and Los Angeles needs to win out.

The Ravens continue to hold the #1 seed led by MVP favorite QB Lamar Jackson. The Patriots are in the playoffs for the 11th straight year but haven’t locked the AFC East yet. If New England beats the Buffalo Bills this week, the Patriots lock up the AFC East. The Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes took care of business this week and remain the #3 seed. The Texans are the #4 seed but could miss the playoff entirely with losses the next two weeks and if the Titans win out. The Steelers are another team that could miss the playoffs, but Pittsburgh controls it’s destiny, with one win - the Steelers are in.

Updated 2019 NFL playoff picture is detailed below:

2019 AFC Playoff Picture:

#1 Ravens 12-2

#2 Patriots 11-3

#3 Chiefs 10-4

#4 Texans 9-5

#5 Bills 10-4

#6 Steelers 8-6

---Teams in the Hunt---

#7 Titans 8-6

2019 NFC Playoff Picture:

#1 Seahawks 11-3

#2 Packers 11-3

#3 Saints 11-3

#4 Cowboys 7-7

#5 49ers 11-3

#6 Vikings 10-4

---Teams in the Hunt---

#7 Rams 8-6

#8 Eagles 7-7
