There's something beautiful about helping people see the value and power of NFTs and it's unlike any other technology or change I've ever presented. 

In most cases when I get people to open their mindset or shift their perspective to embrace an emerging technology they usually default to experiencing it as a consumer and the use cases and examples they are looking forward to experiencing. 

In the NFT space it's different as it doesn't matter if its getting of stage of presenting one of my keynotes or after answering questions from a Twitter space. 

Almost 100% of the time people jump to the use cases and ideas around creating and launching their own NFT project and the amazing possibilities they can picture.

Funny enough the question I get asked the most is actually one I struggled with early on my professional speaker journey which excites me a bit for answering it here in the NFT space.

The two questions are:

1. How many NFTs should I launch and why is the norm 10k?

2. How much should I charge for my NFTs

I share my take on these questions and breakdown why I don't think these are the right questions to ask while at the same time I don't blame people for asking them because this is a bigger challenge than most realize when it comes to setting your NFT project launch up for success.

In episode 143 I talked about "pressing the damn button" with IRL events but I wanted to share my experience and NFT Web 3.0 events over the last couple of months and talk about how we can maximize the time we spend at events and some of the issues that I've witnessed with community events bridging from NFTs to offline.

There's a beautiful freedom that exists within the NFT world where we can often "hide" behind our NFT profile photos which has some great benefits such as the removal of bias and race and age and in some cases even sexual orientation. 

But when these amazing NFT communities bridge to offline events such as NFT NYC, Eth Denver and NFT Miami Week there can be a massive disconnect and its most just for the introverts. 

In this episode I share a couple experiences I had recently that left a bad taste in my mouth when attending a meetup and the only person to blame is myself yet there are ways we can help prevent these types of situations. 

I also share some tips for maximizing value when networking and some plans I have for doing just that this week at Creator Expo CEX in Phoenix Arizona.

I feel like the word utility is thrown around so often that we often make assumptions about what it really means and in many cases we claim it to be the most important aspect of NFTs yet I would argue that most can't answer these questions:

What is the Bored Ape Yacht Club utility?

What is the mission statement & utility of World of Women?

Yet for so most collectors, investors and even NFT project founders we want to be the next BAYC or find the next 100X project but the truth is what those projects have become is unique and powerful but we must think differently in 2022.

Interestingly enough I believe some amazing NFT projects have launched with powerful business plans and strong mission statements yet have already failed... 

Other NFT projects are crushing the short-term utility and overdelivering yet lack a business plan or a true core mission statement that the culture is built around and no doubt they will fail in the long term.

For generative art NFT projects the rush for reveal day is often around the excitement and possibility that you'll get a 1/10,000 exclusive 1 of 1 NFT or maybe a top 100 rare or even a top 1000 of the 10k collection.

Today's episode is inspired by a Coinbase_NFT twitter space that went down with special guest Gary Vaynerchuk where he highlighted many different aspects of NFTs, trends and focused a lot on helping the 1.3k listeners on how early everyone really is...  As one of his examples he talked about a friend who said he was early into twitter when he joined in 2011 and Gary told that guy that he invested in Twitter in 2007 so even 4 years after Gary saw value in Twitter others still felt like they were in early...  That's when GaryVee mentioned a couple of us in the live twitter space audience that he's known for a good while including myself referencing how I was just a kid and less mature when I was early on to web 2.0 but now with web 3.0 its an entire different ball game.

So with that lead in I decided to lean into why and what you can do if you feel like you are late or maybe you realize you're early but you feel this need to pushing something out right away or having FOMO about missing out on something if you don't launch or buy-in to all the projects right now.  

I've always appreciated GaryVee's take on the future and trends and I felt this was a perfect one for an episode on the podcast.
