Over the past several years Mexico has seen a huge increase in violence against women and femicides, with hundreds of women and girls killed every year. We brought in Karen Campos—organizer with the IMT in Mexico, La Izquierda Socialista—to speak on this topic at our recent online Marxist School. Karen explains that the rise of violence against women in Mexico and around the world is evidence of a sick, oppressive system that must be transformed, root and stem, through united class struggle.
