We all will encounter this in life:
The fear of tomorrow,
The fear of rejection,
The fear of not being loved,
The fear of never fitting in.
We all have fears:
Some good,
Some bad.
Why let fear define us?
It is something you just can’t explain.
It makes you sit in your seat for days,
Wondering what it is.
But today, I conquered Thee
I embraced it with open arms,
Because fear is just a thought.
A house is not home.
Home is where
You feed others love and care.
The people who make up a home
Are more beautiful than the house.
It’s made of different ethnic groups and culture.
It’s where we all come to the table to rejoice
And say thank you
For the people,
The love,
The hope,
The care.
It’s a place where everyone is welcome and loved.
You can be your whole self and still be loved.
You can laugh and rejoice .
You can cry tears of happiness…
It’s home!
We dance in the rain as if we are kids.
Life is like rain.
Some days, it drizzles.
Others, it pours.
We wish that on some days,
It would just rain for a bit,
But there’s a storm
Pouring rain is not a bad thing…
It teaches us to be grateful for the little things.
The things we never thank our heavenly father for:
For our voices which say “hello!”
For our lungs to inhale and exhale.
For our toes and our feet to stand on this beautiful planet.
We should be thankful
Because we’re here
on this magnificent Earth.
You say: My dear, I love Theo.
You open your eyes
To see all the beauty in this world.
In due time, I say: I love Theo.
Oh, I love Theo.
I love Theo as if she were a bee.
Oh, I love Theo.
I love Theo, now and always.
I love the bird that sings in the morning.
And the frog that croaks at night.
Oh, how great thou art!
I’m not your back-up person,
The one you call whenever
You need someone to hear you.
No, I’m not her.
I’m the one who will listen to your every problem,
But then you throw me away like I’m trash.
No, I’m not her.
I give thanks to God, the one above, for teaching me
What I rightfully deserve on this beautiful planet.
And I know now… it’s not you!
You are the one beneath my feet,
The one who’s there for my every call.
You love me at dusk and dawn.
You always say: Hello, how do you do?
I’m grateful for everything you’ve done.
You are my heavenly father.
Amen!
We sing and we dance
to The Song of Solomon.
We laugh like it’s our last.
We pray as if tomorrow
Will not come, but it does.
Yes, we know tomorrow
Is not promised,
But we live as if it was.
We hold grudges.
We don’t forgive
Or let go of the pain once caused.
We say tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I will forgive, but tomorrow
No, it’s not,
But I live today!
Life has its way
Of teaching us a lesson
Or
Telling us a story.
It’s up to you to figure out which one.
Day 2: I’m Not Her
No, I’m not the girl
No, I’m not your heart-breaker.
I love openly and dismiss what no longer serves me. Yeah, even though I walk through the valley
