So...we just gonna ignore the bear then?
This week, Matt and Cody bring outside offerings in the form of Ari Aster's second directorial outing and one of the most meme'd movies of the decade, Midsommar! The boys ring around the maypole with a discussion spanning: Mr. Aster's budding Horror legacy of grief shrieks, the terror of getting older, and the intricacies laced into every fiber of this film. Not to mention: pissed off boyfriends, pissed on ancestral trees, the power of "Miss Flo", the power of another community member's "flow", and how much help is really needed in an orgy...
Grab a mallet, they're still twitching, and take a leap with your two elders into an unforgettable viewing experience and an episode of the pod you love to watch go up in smoke.

Mommy's with the maggots now...
Lock up the cabin and head towards the 101 because the Deadites are going to Los Angeles! Speaking of massive thorns in California's side: Cody and Matt say goodbye to Evil Dead April with the newest installment of this iconic franchise. They discuss the vicious change in venue, the violent misuse of vinyl, and the greatest grater in modern horror. They also connect the dots on just how many books of the dead there are and what they hope to see when the Evil Dead inevitably Rise again.
And would it be a proper episode of Night Howls without a little bit of fawning over an actor who just knocks it out of the park? (Here's looking at you, Alyssa Sutherland.)

They cut their arms off, does that sound fine?!
This week, Matt and Cody are heading back to the cabin for another installment in Evil Dead April, and this time, they are in full...remake?...requel?...mode discussing Fede Alvarez's turn at the helm. Before the movie, The guys talk about recently seeing Evil Dead 2 with an audience and how their feelings changed through that experience. Then they turn to story continuations, homages to the original series, the birth of a new horror star, and one of the bloodiest movies covered so far on Night Howls! Not to mention, it's other horror influences, nail guns, blood rain, amateur jewelers, and what fun surprises were really under the dirt.
This is one you will not want to leave unearthed, so hide the keys, grab your boom sticks and "meat saws?", and leave that book for someone else to unwrap!

We got a bone to pick with you!
Evil Dead April continues as Cody and Matt travel through the portal and find themselves in Medieval Times... because dinner theater really is their true calling. They discuss the journey from splat-stick to castle-schtick, skeletons who are tons of fun, and the dreaded reshot recap. They also take time to visit the Deadites in the pit, an S-Mart that is lit, and some hairstyles that look like... dirt.
Ash is back for one last adventure, baby, and he's got the one-liners to boot. So strap in, saddle up, and tally-ho!
And don't forget the words:
Klaatu. Barada. Night Howls.

...Groovy!
This week, Matt and Cody have a soul to swallow, you little suckers! The boys continue their journey through Evil Dead April with one of the most influential Horror Comedies of all time! They debate the relevance of recaps, carnivorous callbacks, and the fruitiest cellar left in this dimension. Not to mention, taxidermized animals, dancing furniture, claymation to die for, BOBBBBBY JOOOOOO, their love of Bruce C, and of course, what makes this an all-timer.
So, grab the pages of that ancient tome and...hand...yourself over to the two worst Kandarian Demons you know, they have themselves a witch to carve.

Kanda! Kanda! Kanda!
It's the start of Evil Dead April and we're kicking things off with "the ultimate experience in grueling terror!" This week, Cody and Matt discuss micro-budget filmmaking, the power of raw talent, and terrifying filming conditions. They also cover Linda's questionable wigs, Scotty's out of pocket comments, and which previous tenant could have possibly been that big of a The Hills Have Eyes fan.
So bust out the reel-to-reel recorder, sharpen that axe... and let Matt and Cody out of the cellar, lover boy!

Emphasis on the Howls!
This week, Matt and Cody break free from their chair-bound restraints and go strolling through potentially asbestos laden foggy woods for the grandfather of all Werewolf movies! They talk time capsules from the 40's and how recent events lead to it's success, the icon status of the Universal Monsters (and the many actors responsible), as well as tiny ties, fancy canes, offensive stereotypes, compensating telescopes, and one of the creepiest( for the wrong reasons) performances they have covered to date.
If you see a pentagram in the episode, proceed as usual.

Another episode, another guest this show truly doesn't deserve.
This week, Cody and Matt are joined by The Witness, herself: Miranda Robbins! The trio talk about eerie environments, sinister spirits, and found footage faux pas. They also discuss favorite haunted attractions and how everything seems to tie back to Salisbury, Maryland. Miranda spills the beans on what it's like being in an absolute cult classic and how the response to the film was bigger and better than anyone could have expected. Also, they talk about totally unnerving clown dummies and why we'd all be better off without them... but enough about our hosts.
Get your tickets, drive out into the middle of nowhere, and prepare those tax documents for an LL you've got to C.

Hello...Howlers...
This week, Matt and Cody head to the Big Apple with their ghostiest-faced friend(s) and check out the latest outing from the Scream franchise. They start off with all of their pre-viewing speculation and after watching, come back to see how close they got. Other close...calls...include: how they felt about Neve's absence, Gale's first call, the return of fan favorites, and did their Scream 5 optimism hold up over a year later. It's an episode full of trust falls, ladder crawls, and shockingly for this year, no dolls!
If listening on a train, at a bodega, or even a police station, stay alert and join us for 2 hours of Cody getting audibly excited all over again.

This week, Matt and Cody took a left turn into Salem's Lot and back into the world of Stephen King adaptations. They talk differences from the source material, iconic moments that have stood the test of time, and how this colossal effort was able to be condensed into a two-part mini series. They also talk grumpy dogs, grumpier adultery, and the grumpiest land lady in all of Maine.
Grab a crucifix, a stake, and join us for this undisputed Tobe Hooper classic!
