Nintendo Voice Chat

Nintendo recently released a financial report, and we discuss how it's looking pretty peachy for our favorite gaming company. However, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in Labo VR is, well, not great. We compare our nauseating experience with the new way to play Zelda to Mario Odyssey's somewhat better VR modes. NVC is once again hit with our late news curse, as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's release date trailer launched the day after we recorded! However, we spliced in a segment from the future(tm) to make good on our transgressions. Plus, with so many video games being turned into movies and TV shows, the crew discusses which movie or show they'd want to see as a video game for this week's Question Block question.

Tom fills in (temporarily) as host this week as we talk about SteamWorld Quest, Mortal Kombat 11 on Switch, and some of the craziest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate custom stages we’ve seen so far! We’ll also be taking look at recent news – with a message from the FUTURE! – talking about some games we’ve been playing recently, and taking YOUR questions during Question Block!

This week we got two fairly substantial updates for both the Nintendo Switch system itself, and for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We're especially excited for the ability to sort our Switch games (!), and, of course, for the arrival of Persona 5's Joker to Smash! IGN's Top 25 Nintendo Switch Games was updated this week as well, and we discuss how we made our decisions, revealing the games we booted to make room for the games we added. Lastly, we answer a doozy of a Question Block question: If you could play no video games except five current Nintendo Switch games for the rest of your life, which would you choose? Find out on this week's episode of Nintendo Voice Chat!

The NVC crew welcomes Janet Garcia on today's show, and we've all gotten a chance to play in the VR Plaza with the Nintendo Labo: VR Kit. After going hands-on, we discuss if we're excited to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey with the newest cardboard accessory. We also discuss our first impressions of SteamWorld Quest, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Stage Builder  leak, and answer a bunch of questions for Question Block.

Well, looks like a few heavy hitters are listed at Best Buy as forthcoming Nintendo Switch Titles. This week Tom, Brian, and Zach breakdown some of the rumors here, talk about games we played at PAX East, and answer a BUNCH of your questions!

Yes, there's another rumor about new Nintendo Switch models, and we get a little creative with our wish-lists. Expect at least three minutes of us repeating "Donkey Bongos." On this episode of NVC, we also discuss IGN's Yoshi's Crafted World review, the Labo VR trailer, if Final Fantasy VII is worth playing after all of these years, The World Next Door, Dragon Marked for Death, and more.
