In the evolutionary worldview, humans are nothing more than animals. Our closest living relatives are apes, and we’re descended from an ape-like ancestor. Because of this, we don’t have any more value than any other creature.
But the Bible has a very different view of mankind. We were created distinct from the animal kingdom in the very image of God. And because we bear God’s image, we have intrinsic value no animal has.
There’s no ape in your ancestry. You were fearfully and wonderfully knit together by God in his very image.
