In this episode, I continue talking about the word God gave to me a couple of days ago, "surrender."

Spiritual Warfare The Armor of God
When Moses throws down his rod, and it turned into a snake. (Exodus 4:3)
Five Daily Prayers
I use a picture description of meekness using a wild stallion being "captured," and then the man "breaks" the stallion's will. The stallion was the same horse. It's still powerful, and it is still a leader, but it is under his master's hand.
Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Another way to look at meekness maybe gentleness and kindness is also a characteristic of being meek, and it is how God describes Moses.
Numbers 12:3
Now the man Moses was very meek above all the men who were upon the face of the earth.
Moses wrote the above verse about himself.
Moses never defended himself against the children of Israel.
We need to be meek (humble) like Moses, and God will defend us against our enemies.
53 In this episode, I continue to talk about the Armor of God, but I share a word God gave me during my prayer time.

Spiritual Warfare The Armor of God
The word was "surrender," and I go to the book of Exodus and the story of God calling Moses in the burning bush but specifically Exodus 4:2-4
So the Lord said to him, "What is that in your hand?" He said, "A rod."
And He said, "Cast it on the ground." So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.
Then the Lord said to Moses, "Reach out your hand and take it by the tail" (and he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand)
This story shows Moses surrendering to God by doing as God commanded him. I'm sure Moses knew grabbing a snake by the tail was a bad idea in the natural world, but God was teaching Moses to surrender and trust Him.
Trusting God is the first step and a powerful lesson on surrender and if you want to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10) you need to surrender to God.
We finish this episode in 2 Corinthians 12:10
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
52 In this episode, I begin new teaching on Spiritual Warfare and specifically looking at the Armor of God.

Spiritual Warfare The Armor of God
The Scripture reference is Ephesians 6_10-18.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, Against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints
Revelation 4:5
And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Isaiah 11:2
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
As I have taught in previous lessons, you need to fight satan or any of his demons in the spiritual realm where God has given you mighty weapons.
51 In this episode, I bring the lessons to a close and tell you about how God used His word to show me how to close the teaching.

There are only two scripture references in this episode. The first is found in Exodus 17:5,6 And the Lord said to Moses, "Go on before the people, and take with you some of the elders of israel. Also Take in your hand your rod with which you struck the river and go.
Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink." And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
The next is similar but found in Numbers 20:8-12
Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.
So Moses took the rod from before the Lord as He commanded him.
And Moses and Aaron gathered together before the rock; and he said to them, "Here now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?"
Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not believe Me, to hollow me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I've given them."
Notice God told Moses to speak to the rock, not strike it. I believe God was trying to teach His people the lesson on the power of your words but Moses disobeyed God's command.
It cost Moses and Arron their entry into the Promised Land and their lives.
50 In this episode, I move us into the New Testament and we look at the Virgin Birth and the birth of John The Baptist.

We pick up the lesson in Luke1:6-9
And they were both righteous before God, walking in the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
But they had no child, because Elisabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.
So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division, according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
11-20
Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
But the angel said to him, do not be afraid Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you should call his name John.
And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.
For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and show drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.
And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God.
"He will also go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."
And Zacharias said to the angel, "How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years."
And the angel answered and said to him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings.
But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time."
Now let's look at the same angel, Gabriel, and how he handles Mary.
Luke 1:26-38
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
In having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!"
But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.
Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.
He will be great, and He will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end."
Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?"
And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.
For with God nothing will be impossible."
Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

Joshua 6 :7-10
And he said to the people, "Proceed and march around the city, and let him who is armed advanced before the ark of the Lord."
So it was, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before the Lord advanced and blew the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord followed them.
The armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets.
Now Joshua has commanded the people saying, "You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, Shout! Then you shall shout."
If you remember from the previous episode, Jesus came and gave Joshua his "marching orders" and He didn't say anything about the people having to be quiet.
I believe Joshua knew his people and as their leader, he knew it would be best if they didn't open their mouths.
He was using his experience from when 40 years earlier he was one of the 12 who was sent to spy out the lane.
Numbers 13:1,2
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, "Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a leader among them."
13:17-20
And a return from spying out the land after 40 days. Then Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them, "Go up this way into the South, and go up to the mountains, and see what the land is like whether the people who dwell in it are strong or weak, few or many;
whether the land they dwell in is good or bad; whether the cities they inhabit are like camps or strongholds;
whether the land is rich or poor; and whether there are forests there or not. Be of good courage. And bring some of the fruit of the land." Now the time was the season of the first ripe grapes.
13:25
And they return from spying out the land after 40 days.
13:27-33
Then they told him, and said: "We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.
Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.
The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan."
Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it."
But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we."
And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.
There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants) and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and we were in their sight."
48 In this episode, I stay in the Old Testament and open up the book of Joshua and teach on the battle of Jericho.

Jericho 5:13-15
And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshuah went to Him and said to Him, "Are you for us or our adversaries?"
So He said, "No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshipped, and said to Him, "What does my Lord say to his servant?"
Then the Commander of the Lord's army said to Joshua, "Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy." And Joshuah did so.
Joshua 6:1-5
Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. And the Lord said to Joshua, "See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and mighty men of valor.
You show march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days.
And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark. But the seventh day you show march around the city seven times, and the priest shall blow the trumpets.
It shall come to pass, when they make a loud blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.
This was a word directly from God and in the next episode, you will see what happens when the children of Israel obey the Word.
47 In this episode, I talk about the story found in Genesis 25-27 about the twin brothers Jacob and Esau.

Genesis 25:21-23
Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
But the children struggled together within her; and she said, "If all is well, why am I like ?" So she to inquire of the Lord.
Ane the Lord said to her; "Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stranger than the other, and the older shall serve the younger."
Genesis 27:1-5
Now it came to pass, when Isaac was old and his eyes were so dim that he could not see, that he called Esau his older son and he said to him, "Here I am."
Then he said, "Behold now, I am old. I do not know the day of my death. Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go to the field and hunt game for me.
And make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, that my soul may bless you before I die.
Now Rebekah was listening when Isaac spoke to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt game and to bring it.
So Rebekah spoke to Jacob her son, saying, "Indeed I heard your father speak to Esau your brother, saying, 'Bring me game and make savory food for me, that I may eat it and bless you in the presence of the Lord before my death.'
Genesis 27:22-29
So Jacob went near to Isaac his father, and he felt to him and said, "The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau."
And he did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau's hands; so he blessed him.
Then he said, "Are you really my son Esau? He said, "I am."
He said, "Bring it near to me and I will eat of my son's game, so that my soul may bless you." So he brought it near to him, and he ate; and he brought him wine and he drank.
Then his father Isaac said to him, "Come near now and kiss me, my son."
And he came near and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him and said;
"Surely, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field which the Lord has blessed. Therefore may God give you of the dew of heaven, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and wine. Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, and let your mother's sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, and blessed be those who bless you!"
Then Esau comes in to get the blessing from his father.
Genesis 27:31-35
He also had made savory food, and brought it to his father, and said to his father, "Let my father arise and eat his son's game, that your soul may bless me."
And his father Issac said to him, "Who are you?" So he said, "I am your son, your firstborn, Esau."
Then Isaac trembled exceedingly, and he said, "Who? Where is the one who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate all of it before you came, and I have blessed him and indeed he shall be blessed."
When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceedingly great bitter cry, and said to his father, "Bless me...me also, O my father!"
But he said, "Your brother came with deceit and has taken away your blessing."
Once you release your words, it is the same as throwing a rock. Once you let go of the rock, you can't "unthrow it." It is the same with your words; once you speak them into your world, you can not "unspeak" them.
46 In this episode, I want to keep teaching on the story found in Judges chapter 6-8

Gideon has been beaten down, and he is not the most confident person in the Bible. Since many of us are struggling with fear, you may be able to relate to the story.
Judges 7:7
Then the Lord said to Gideon. "By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place.
I Corinthians 1:29
that no flesh should glory in His presence.
Action is the best thing you can use to destroy fear.
I have taught many times (not on the podcast yet :-) God won't (or can't steer) a parked car. You need to be moving, and even if it's in the wrong direction, God will turn you around.
God knows Gideon, and He knows he is still not sure if he can defeat the Midianites, so God tells him what to do in Judges 7:9-11
It happened on the same night that the Lord said to him, "Arise, go down against the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand.
But if you are afraid to go down, go down to the camp with Purah your servant, and you shall hear what they say; and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp." Then he went down with Purah his servant to the outpost of the armed men who were in the camp.
Then Gideon goes with Puruh and hears these words.
Judges 7:13,14
And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said, "I had a dream to my surprise a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell in overturned, and the tent collapsed."
Then his companion answered and said, "This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp."
God uses 300 men, clay pitchers with a candle in it, a trumpet, and a shout to defeat 1,000's and 1,000's of men (numerous as locusts and their camel without number Judges 7:12)
In this episode, we continue in the Old Testament and the story of Gideon.

This is found in the book of
Judges 6:11-8:35
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit
Judges 6:11-17
Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.
And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, "The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!"
Gideon said to HIM, "O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, 'Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?' But now the Lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites."
Then the Lord turned to him ans said, "Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have i not sent you?"
So he said to Him, "O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house."
(God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble)
And the Lord said to him, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man."
Then he said to Him, "If I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me."
