  • Bible Study Lesson- The Kingdom Of God - The Power Of A Seed Part 3

34 In this episode I continue the idea the “modern” church has a power shortage. I think it originates from not knowing the word of God. (And that's where I come in to help)

You and I are the church and when I say the church has a power shortage it is because we don't use the word of God in our life as much as we should.

Listen to the whole teaching  on Christian Podcast Bible Study  Lesson - The Kingdom of God

Noah just got off the Ark and built an altar to God and sacrificed to God. God smelled to the soothing aroma and said in His heart He would never again curse the ground for man's sake or destroy every living thing as He had done.

    Genesis 8:22

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.

    Mark 4:26-29

And He said, “The Kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.

For the earth yields crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.

    Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

You and I have two things we can control in the seedtime and harvest declaration God declared in Genesis 8:22

God is never caught off guard and He does wait until we pray to deliver to us the answer. Most of what you and I ask God for is already made available through God's grace.

It is our job to use faith and follow-through (action) to make something happen.

Adding to this lesson I want to introduce another scripture.

Galatians 6:7-9 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

I also want to introduce the concept of time I briefly introduced it on a previous podcast but God is not “caught” in time. He works outside of the time restraints we live in here on earth.

God's word will come to pass but it will take time.

Let me read you two scriptures in Genesis to illustrate what I'm trying to say.

    Genesis 16:16, 17:1

Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.

  • After You Attain Your Goal. It's Time To Change Your Goal

31 In this episode, I talk about hitting the goal and what comes next.

I'm going to try to encourage you to slow your world down in the next few episodes.

    Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

    Genesis 8:22
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.

On the No Doubt No Fear Only Believe Facebook page, I try to share quotes from men (and women) who lived in a time when the change wasn't happening as fast as it is today.

The thoughts and insights of these great people of the past help me realize I need to take more time to think and

If you are anything like me, your life seems to be moving way too fast, and we need to slow things down.

  • No Doubt No Fear Only Believe Will Continue In The Battle Six Days Every Week

30 In this episode I talk about reaching my goal of an episode a day for 30 straight days.

I knew when I started this episode I was going to make a few changes and I thought going in I would change the format to 5 days a week and take the weekend off but you will hear how I “change” my mind in the middle of the episode and how I give the “credit” to God moving me to work six days and take the Sabbath off.

The ten commandments are found in Exodus 20:1-17

Next, I remind you of the three pillars I've built this whole podcast upon. Again they are:

    1. Your foundation
    2. Your filter
    3. your follow-through

Each episode will use at least one of these pillars (and maybe some episodes will use all three)

The Foundation example I used was from

    Matthew 7:24-27

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock; and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on the house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand; and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.

    Romans 8:1

There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

  • Salvation Meaning in the Bible Teaching on Spirit, Soul, and Body

Salvation Meaning in the Bible Teaching on Spirit, Soul, and Body
29 In this episode I attempt to pull the last 6 or 7 episodes together.

In episode 25 I talk about the Gospel, Good News, or the Salvation message, and if you haven't listened to that episode or if you are not confident about salvation that would be a great episode for you.

Jesus was asked which is the greatest commandment?

    Matthew 22:36-40

Teacher which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

I talk about if you want “Cliff Notes” on the Bible “Love God and love people.”

The scripture I use in this episode is in

    Colossians 1:12-16

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

I didn't read verses 19 and 20 on this episode but I think it goes well with what I taught.

    Colossians 1:19-23

For it plays the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless,  and above reproach in His sight if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

It is incredible how God pulled all of the gospel message together. Satan comes to divide us and God tries to unite us back to Himself.

When you read your Bible I want you to be able to see God as the perfect Father and God is love.

    1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, Love never fails.

The fruit of the Spirit is found in Galatians 5:22,23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

God wants you to read God's word and know it's true. God wants you to read the word of God the same way Abraham did not "waver" at the promise.

Romans 4:20,21 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He promised He was also able to perform.

We need to use the same faith when we read the word of God and when our body and spirit man are fighting over our soul. This is what I used to "heal" my toothache and it's what is available to each one of us every day.

  • How to Operate in the Spirit Realm

28 In this episode, I begin by reminding you I'm not perfect. I used my superior "copy and paste" skills, and when I copied Romans 3:23, I used Romans 3:23 and changed the chapter to 5, and instead of changing the 23 to 8, I changed the 3 to 8 and left the 8. I don't know why I did it, but I did it.

Since we are all "flawed," why would you think I'm perfect and never make any mistakes. That is not me. I encourage you to do your best to be a "doer" of the word but don't ever beat yourself up for making a mistake.

He's my example, admit you've made it and move on. If you hurt someone, ask for forgiveness (that's a different lesson) and move on. If your sin is against God, the same thing, ask Him for forgiveness and move on.

We are spirit, soul, and body and the scripture I used was

    1 Thessalonians 5:23

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are three parts, and two of the three are at odds with each other and will never see eye to eye.

Your body and spirit are constantly fighting to get your soul (mind, will, and emotions) to vote for them. (or to come to their side or way of thinking)

    John 6:63

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

    The word was with God.

    John 14:6

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

    Isaiah 53:5

    1. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

    1 Peter 2:24

Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed.

    Romans 10:9,10

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

    Colossians 2:6,7

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Go back to Episode 1 to hear one of our anchor scriptures. Mark 11:22-23

    Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth.

    Genesis 1:3

Then God said, "Let there be light; and there was light.

    Genesis 1:4

And God saw the light, and that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

    Genesis 1:6

Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

    Genesis 1:10

And God called the dry land Earth and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

    1 Corinthians 13:13

And now abide faith, hope, and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I will pick this up on the next episode.

    Thank you for listening.

  • You are Three Parts: Spirit, Soul, and Body

27 In this episode I talk about how you are one person but made up of three parts. Those parts are Spirit, Soul, and Body

The reference scripture is found in

    1 Thessalonians 5:23

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I talked about the Apostle Peter talking about putting off his body which he called his tent.

    2 Peter 1:14

knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me.

Here is the cartoon picture I talked about

(you need to go to the website to see the picture)

    John 6:55,56

For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.

Many left Jesus after He said this

    John 6:60

Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, "This is a hard saying; who can understand it?"

    John 6:63

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life.

I mentioned two scriptures I'm going to talk about in the next episode but the first is 1 Peter 2:24 (I think I said 2 Peter in this episode)

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed.

    Isaiah 53:5

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

  • What Died When Adam Ate The Forbidden Fruit?

26 In this episode, I begin to discuss the concept of spirit, soul, and body. Adam and Eve were perfect when God created them, and they were one person with three distinct parts.

God gave Adam one rule do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

    Genesis 2:16,17

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

You know the story, Eve was deceived by the talking snake, but Adam sinned.

As soon as Adam bit the fruit, he went from spirit lead to being spirit dead.

    1 Thessalonians 5:23

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    John 4:24

"God is a Spirit and those that worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

    Genesis 3:14,15

So the Lord God said to the serpent; Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all of the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

In the whole chapter of Genesis one, God spoke everything into existence, and then God said the word and gave His dominion to man. Once He spoke the word, He gave Adam control over all of the earth.

God no longer had dominion over the earth; dominion belonged to Adam (and his descendants).

There are many things God designed with three parts.

(Since God is three parts: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit)

I further illustrated Adam and Eve were Three parts: spirit, soul, and body.

You can see water in three different "states" gas (steam), liquid (water), and solid (ice).

Something in Adam had to die when he ate the fruit, but it wasn't his body or his mind because the Bible says, in Genesis 3:7,10

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew they were naked, and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.

Notice Adam "knew" (his mind) his "body" was naked, and he was "afraid" and hid (his body) from God. Using the elimination process, you will discover Adam and Eve's spirit died when they ate of the fruit.

I will pick up this lesson in the next episode. Thank you for listening.

  • Is Life a Game or a Battle, Here is The Gospel - Good News

25 In this episode, I ask the question, is life more like a game or a battle?

If you base your life on the word of God, you will come to the same conclusion as I do in this episode. This life is a battle, and the battle lines are drawn. Will you choose this day, life or death?

    John 10:10

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

    Joshua 24:15

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

The battle is for the souls of men. The war is real, and eternity is forever.

Hell is real, and these scriptures bring Hell into focus.

Satan's weapons are lies, deception, anger, hate, division. He hates everything God has made, and his job is to destroy you and me because we are God's favorite.

Salvation is personal and individually accepted or denied.

My personal belief is you are going to get one question when you stand before God.

In a previous episode, I talk about

    Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Jesus took all sin, all sin with Him to the cross; he bled, died, and rose again the third day to defeat evil once and fall all time.

    Romans 10:17

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

    Romans 5:8

But God demonstrated His own love for us, that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.

    Romans 10:9-13

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

    John 16:7

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

God loves you and wants His best for you, and His best is His Son, Jesus.

    John 3:16,17

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved.

I mentioned I'm currently trying to learn all of this technology, but if you prayed for Jesus to be Lord of your life, you could send a text to my church (Gateway Church in Southlake), and they are set up to help you get started in your Christian walk.

I intend to get up to speed sooner rather than later, but this is not something to wait on.

If you have a cell phone, text the word DECISION to 71010, and someone at the church will reach out to you.

This is the “Good News,” the Gospel, and the first and most crucial step in the Christian walk.

I pray this message finds a place in your heart. Some plant, some water, but the increase is the Lord's.

Holy Spirit, thank you for counting me worthy of sharing your beautiful message of salvation with my audience.
