24 In this episode I ask you what sin gets you thrown into Hell.
I heard a speaker tell me one time it's the first time you sin that gets you thrown into Hell. I think I must disagree.
I do not believe sin is the issue anymore. I read multiple passages from the book of Hebrew where it tells you Christ died once for all sin.
Hebrews 9:12
Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
Hebrews 9:14
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
Hebrews 9:24
For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.
Hebrews 10:5-10
Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I said, 'Behold, I have come in the volume of the book it is written of Me to do your will, oh God. Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), then he said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God. He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus once for all.
Hebrews 10:14
for by one offering, He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
Every sin that has ever been committed on the earth was placed on Jesus at the cross. Jesus took our sin on His body, they nailed His body to the cross and buried Jesus and every sin with Him.
This would be a terrible story but the story doesn't end with the death of Jesus. Three days later He rose from the dead and will never die again. This is "the too good to be true news" of the Bible. (Also known as the Gospel)
Sin is not the issue. The only question God is going to ask you when you stand before Him in heaven is: What did you do with My Son?
If you answer I believed Your word and accepted Him as Savior and declared Him Lord of my life. You shall be saved.
If you haven't declared Him Lord of your life I believe you will be asked to stand in a different line in heaven.
The Bible does say "All have sinned," but it also declares Jesus died once for all sin. All sin means every sin past, present, and future sins were nailed to the cross and buried with Jesus.
Thank you for listening.
23 In this episode, I continue talking about sin. I use a couple of scriptures to get started.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 5:28
But God demonstrated His own love toward us, that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
God took care of the issue of sin through His Son Jesus.
I try to give you a handle to hold on to with a picture.
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Genesis 4:3-7
And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of fruit of the ground to the Lord.
Able also brought of the first born of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering.
But He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. So the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.
Each example above has a door pictured. The way I imagine this door is a barrier that separates the spirit realm from the physical realm.
When I attempt to picture sin, I see it as an open door. We are all tempted, and I describe how I imagine temptation as a "knock' on my personal door that separates the spirit realm from my (physical) world.
Sin is merely missing the mark by opening the door to temptation. We have all opened the door to sin at one point in our life.
I also mentioned where Peter asked Jesus about forgiveness (a separate rabbit I chased :-) )
The parable is found in Luke 17:3,4 & Matthew 18:15-35
Thank you for listening
22 In this episode I give you a definition of What sin is and why does it matter?
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
The definition I have for sin is missing the mark. If you can picture a target (think a dartboard) and on the target, there is a bullseye. Now picture throwing a dart and not hitting the bullseye.
Every time you throw a dart and miss the bullseye (assuming you are aiming for the bullseye) that is considered a sin. So when the Bible says "all" have sinned it's easy to see how each of us has missed the mark of perfection in our life.
In Romans 5, Paul tells us because of one man's sin we all are under sin. He then explains because of one man's righteous act we all can be free from sin. (If I were you I'd read the whole chapter :-) )
Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because all sinned.
Romans 5:18,19
Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience, many will be made righteous.
God knows what He is doing and we need to trust His great and simple solution of salvation through the man Jesus.
Thank you for listening.
Bible Study Lessons- God is Not Mad at You and a look at Psalm 119
21 In this episode I remind you God is not mad at you and I use John 3:16,17
For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
And discuss how the word of God is described in Psalm 119 which is an alphabetic masterpiece and I try (and fail) to describe how the different stanzas and couplets are used to give glory to God.
Psalm 119:11
Your word I have hidden in my heart. That I might not sin against you.
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Romans 5:28
But God demonstrated His own love toward us, that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
Jesus told you and me in John 10:27,28
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
I do my best to use the word of God daily in my life but I am a terrible representative of how good God is. If you want to get the best picture you need to do what I do, ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand His word and show you how much Father God loves you.
This is a prayer God will answer by spending time in His word.
Spiritual Warfare Scriptures- Take Your Battle into the Spirit Realm
20 In this episode I help to encourage you to take any battle you have with the "punk" into the spiritual realm.
Psalm 138:2
I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.
John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those that worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Remember 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
I challenge you to change one thing in your Christian walk.
Stop reading your Bible and start "believing" everything you read in your Bible.
The Scripture I read right after I told God I was going to believe everything about the Bible.
2 Samuel 23:8
These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-Basshebeth the Tachmonite, chief among the captains. He was called Adino the Eznite because he had killed eight hundred men at one time.
This guy killed 800 men at one time and I had just "declared" to God I was going to believe everything I read in His word. and the first verse was 2 Samuel 23:8
I then had to stop reading my Bible and begin to "picture" what I had read. It took me a while to get my head around the idea and I had to decide to believe in faith what was written.
In a previous episode, (12 The Struggle is Real.) I talked about Matthew 7:13,14
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
satan is a punk and he will do whatever it takes to defeat you. You must learn to battle him in the spirit realm where Father God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are and where you can defeat him.
Spiritual Warfare Scriptures- What is the Name of the Cloud Wearing Angel in Revelation 10?
19 In this episode, I tell you I have no idea the name given to the angel in Revelation 10. God knows the name of this angel but He must not think we need to know.
Revelation 10:1
I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.
He had a little book opened in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.
And he cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices.
Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them."
This is a huge angel and my point in bringing you this angel is when you and I decide to go to battle with satan we had better battle him in the spirit realm.
satan (I purposely do not capitalize satan because he's a punk and I don't want to show him any honor) is real and if he was one of the Arch Angels (Michael and Gabriel being the other two) he might be bigger or more powerful than this mighty angel we see in Revelation 10.
Either way, our God is bigger than any of these beings and can defeat them at ant time. He has chosen to use you and me to do His bidding.
The scripture I mentioned is Psalm138:2
I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your loving kindness and Your truth; For you have magnified Your word above Your name.
The name of Jesus is powerful enough to cast out demons, open blind eyes, raise the dead but God has elevated His word above His name! Wow... that's enough for today.
Thank you for listening.
Spiritual Warfare Scriptures- Let Me Introduce You To The Angel In Revelation 10
18 In this episode, I take you all the way back to the Garden of Eden to
Genesis 3:1-3
Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"
And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;
but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, less you die.'"
Genesis 2:16-17
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
There are many "If-Than" statements in the word of God. God tells mankind if you keep His commandments (see Deuteronomy 28) but there was not this kind of requirement when God gave Adam dominion.
Genesis 1:26-30
Then God said, let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; Let them have the dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the Earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the Earth.
So God created man in his Own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the Earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the Earth.
In God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the Earth, and every tree whose fruit yield seed; to you it shall be for food.
Also, to every beast of the Earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the Earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food"; and it was so.
If satan can get you to question the word of God, he has a great chance to get you to sin.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
The angel is found in Revelation 10:1
I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, closed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.
He had a little book opened in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices.
Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Seal up the things which the 7 thunders uttered, and do not write them."
In the next episode, I'll answer the question, "What is the Revelation 10 angel's name?"
Spiritual Warfare Scriptures- What is the Difference Between the Spiritual Realm and Physical Realm?
In this episode, I want to look at the difference between the Physical realm and the spiritual realm.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ
In a different episode, I talked about the last part of the scripture...bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
In this episode, I talk about the book “This Present Darkness” by Frank Peretti.
One of your struggles in your life you are trying to fight a spiritual battle in the physical realm.
Every community has a different vocabulary and in this episode, you will get a look at what I see in the spirit realm.
This book (This Present Darkness) had a big part early in my life to flesh up the reason for me to pray.
I hope you enjoy this episode today.
I want to remind you are a king
Read Proverbs 25:2
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
Here is how I define God's Sovereignty- Ruler of all the Universe, Heaven, and Earth answering to no one.
God does whatever God wants to do without asking for permission.
Mark 7:6-9, 13
He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me. Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandments of God, you hold the tradition of men, the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do." He said to them, "All to well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition."
13 "making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do."
Every religion has guidelines doctrines or traditions, all of our directions come from the Bible. The teaching you live your life on should come directly from the word of God
One of the three things I want to remind you is Jesus is one day closer to returning.
But while reading, studying, and praying I believe I have found a key to unlocking when Jesus will come...once His enemies become His footstools.
Psalm 110:1
The Lord said to my Lord, sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.
In my small way here at No Doubt No Fear Only Believe want to help make that happen.
We are officially sick of watching evil seemingly triumph in this world and we are here to help the church turn the tide on Satan and his kingdom.
We will teach, inspire, motivate and encourage believers to take the authority Christ has given each one of us and use it to become the kings He has created us to be.
We will not fight against flesh and blood but against the spiritual wickedness in high places. We are commissioned by God Himself to make disciples of all nations and that is what we intend to do.
15 In this episode I try to bring the question does God control everything to a finish.
While this episode doesn't claim to fully answer if God controls everything the Bible says in
Jeremiah 19:5 (they have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command or speak, nor did it come into My mind).
Jeremiah 32:35 is similar And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
I want to go on the record as saying this doesn't prove that God doesn't control everything but it at least makes you question if He does. My whole point is I believe it makes victims not kings out of any believer who is "waiting" on God to do something and when it doesn't happen then instead of blaming themselves for it not working they blame God.
I believe this is a damaging position for everyone involved.
I end this episode with famous scripture from Joshua 24:14,15
Now, therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord.
And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourself this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your father served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
