44 In this episode, I continue to talk about your words' power and continue to use the story of David and Goliath for my example.

Again I deal with a lot of scripture, but you and I both know it won't hurt us to hear and read the word of God.
1 Samuel 17:32,33,37
Then David said to Saul, "Let no man's heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine." And Saul said to David, "You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth."
Moreover David said, "The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." And Saul said to David, "Go, and the Lord be with you."
David convinces Saul to allow him to go and fight Goliath. He uses his past victories over similar-sized opponents (a lion and a bear) to assure King Saul God had used him before and will use him again.
1 Samuel 17:41-47
So the Philistine came, and began drawing near to David, and the man who bore the shield went before him.
And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, he disdained him; for he was only a youth, ruddy and good-looking.
So the Philistine said to David, "Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?" And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
And the Philistine said to David, "Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!"
Then David said to the Philistine, " You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give your carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and of the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands."
43 In this episode I'm going to take the next step to increase your power in the spirit realm. The power of your words.

There are many examples for us in scripture but I want to start with two verses in Proverbs 18.
Proverbs 18:20,21
A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Mark 11:22-24
So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
With the previous lessons in mind, I moved to the Old Testament and a familiar passage and story. In the next two episodes, I will use the story of David and Goliath to illustrate the power of your words.
The story is found in 1 Samuel 17:8-10
Then he stood and cried out to the armies of Israel, and said to them, "Why have you come out to lineup for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and you the servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me.
If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servants. But if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall be our servants and serve us."
And the Philistine said, "I defy the armies of Israel this day give me a man, that we may fight together."
When Saul and all of Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.
This is where David hears the giant speak.
1 Samuel 17:22-24
And David left his supplies in the hand of the supply keeper, ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers.
Then as he talked with them, there was the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, coming up from the armies of the Philistines; and he spoke according to the same words. So David heard them.
And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him and were dreadfully afraid.
After David hears Goliath his older brother comes out against David.
1 Samuel 17:28, 29
Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab's anger was aroused against David, and he said, "Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and insolence of heart, for you have come down to see the battle."
And David said, "What have I done now? Is there not a cause?"

James 3:1, 3-10
My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.
Indeed, we put bits in horses mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body.
Look also at ships although they are large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.
Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among

I continue the lesson from Mark 11 by going back to when Jesus cursed the fig tree.
Mark 11:12-14
Now the next day, when they had come out of Bethany, He was hungry. And seeing afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response, Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His disciples heard it.

39 In this episode I conclude the teaching on the power of the seed and I pull together the last seven episodes with the scripture I read from James 1:21-25
Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Mark 4:13
And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?
The sower sows the word.
And these are the ones by the way side where the word is sown. When they hear, satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.
These likewise are the one stone on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they stumble.
Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, except it, and bare fruit some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred."
2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day.
You and I are the church and when I say the church has a power shortage it is because we don't use the word of God in our life as much as we should.
Mark 4:26-29
And He said, “The Kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.
For the earth yields crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
God is never caught off guard and He does wait until we pray to deliver to us the answer. Most of what you and I ask God for is already made available through God's grace.
It is our job to use faith and follow-through (action) to make something happen.
I also want to introduce the concept of time I briefly introduced it on a previous podcast but God is not “caught” in time. He works outside of the time restraints we live in here on earth.
God's word will come to pass but it will take time.
38 In this episode I continue the idea the “modern” church has a power shortage. I'm going to shift “realms” in this episode from the natural seed to the supernatural.

Adding to this lesson I want to introduce another scripture.
Galatians 6:7-9 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,
Mark 4:3-9
"Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the way side; and the birds of the air came and devoured it.
Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away.
And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.
But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprung up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty in some a hundred."

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.
