What’s the most important title in our community? Some might say it’s the OGs, others say parents, more particularly mothers for many of us. Or is it maybe the educators in our children's lives? Someone says that the most important title in our community is “owner”. And owner of a home, business, land, being in a place to own something for yourself leaves you able to invest in yourself and also your city.

What ever happened to IBM? It used to be such a powerhouse in business and now it’s nothing. It’s flat and unrecognized. It reminds Dr.Ken Harris of Milwaukee, too many things have gone flat, too much complacency has become the norm. It’s got us in a death spiral and not just over the shootings or violence but in general. Businesses closing, schools struggling, political turmoil and the wasted funds within them all. How do we stop the down spiral? What is the immediate change you see as a priority for Milwaukee? Those are only some of Dr.Ken Harris’ questions.

Dr.Ken Harris says that many of the lapses we face in our city stem from the leadership within our community. From the top down we need to prioritize changing the way we operate. Is technology seriously that important to our change? Some say it’s key and others have a warning about tech. Then someone questions Dr.Ken Harris and calls him a “white, black man”. What does that even mean? Clearly someone believes they know Dr.Ken Harris’ life story. So, an educated black man is now “whiter” than his actual race? Make it make sense.

An 80-page report about the Uvalde Texas school shooting notes a large number of “failures” in the protocol and procedures normally in place for the roughly 400 officers that responded in n scene, then in Greenwood, Indiana over the weekend an active shooter enters a mall food court with plans to kill people in mass quantity but is shot and stopped by a civilian with a firearm after killing 3. With those thoughts and the updates to the Chantia Lewis case, it makes for an interesting Monday. Sometimes it feels like the odds are 400 to 1.

Drinking now has an abundant amount of documented proof to be bad for anyone younger than 40, yes 40 years old. Anything more than a few ounces can be harmful beyond belief. Maybe it’s time to raise the minimum age? Black people shouldn’t drink anyway, the market was never designed with us in mind. Just for us to buy it in mass quantities. Then again not much was made for us, unlike Lake Ivanhoe, Wisconsin. Wisconsin’s first and only black founded town, this is Dr. Ken Harris down a rabbit hole of black firsts. Like Crispus Attucks, the very first casualty of the American Revolution.

Do you think changing daylight savings would positively affect the crime rate? That’s Dr.Ken Harris’s question for this Friday. Science has proven that crime rates are affected in hot weather so What’s to say that days and nights won’t affect rates the same way? Dr. Ken Harris is curious for your thoughts. Would the volume stay the same, raise, or lower? What will it take to lower the crime in our community?

Where does a young child learn that it’s OK to attack a police officer? A video Dr. Ken Harris saw left him taken aback. In the video, a young child barely out of diapers is seen using excessive profanity and physically assaulting an officer of the law. Dr. Ken Harris says that regardless of race creed or religion the only thing that matters here is the lack of common decency, where did it go? This isn’t the way we’re meant to be going. The foundations that generations before us set didn’t envision this as our future.
