Mayor of Wauwatosa Dennis McBride joins Spanning the State in studio to discuss how his city is addressing the affordable care crisis. Currently affordable housing is a national issue as well as a major talking point for both the presidential and local political races. McBride shares what type of impact this issue has had in Wauwatosa, how they plan to fix it, and the work the Tosa Common Council has done.

Most people associate the Wisconsin Dells as a summer only destination. However, people don’t know that the Dells during the fall has some of the best sites to witness the transition into fall. Debi Leis, Program Specialist for the Wisconsin Elder Justice Coalition joins Spanning the state to discuss the growing number of financial abuse against elders. Several years ago, seniors in WI lost more than $43 million because of financial abuse. Today Leis tells Kristin and Brian how they are combating this with a financial abuse specialist team, where they are located and how the university of Wisconsin Green Bay came up with the idea.

Kristin Brey and Brian Noonan close out the week with a fun filled show. First, they talk to the Journal Sentinel's Ricardo Torres about local headphone brand KOSS and their role in disrupting the Stock Market with GameStop. They speak to Steve Scaffidi for the Political Power HALF Hour, where they discuss next week's Vice-Presidential Debate, and the ballot removal from Wausau Mayor Doug Diny. Later they get a crash course on Dungeons & Dragons from Good Karma Brands colleagues on the eve of their 50th anniversary celebration weekend.
