  • 241 - Love Is The Key with Amayla Knight

Welcome to the No Labels, No Limits podcast where this week we’re joined by Amayla Knight.

Amayla Knight’s goal is to be someone that helps people get to know themselves on a deeper level and to move through and beyond patterns that keep us stuck in life.

She understands firsthand about the pain that comes from not knowing how to handle destructive habits and routines that originate from not knowing your inner self, and how it affects your life. In fact, desiring the approval of one of her peers landed her in the most abusive situation of her life.

It was the Enneagram that helped her climb out of that space, know herself, and heal.

She learned to never value anyone else’s approval over her own self-worth and to stand in her truth despite the intimidating feelings that come when her truth does not please people.

Her process inspired her to pursue certification training as an enneagram coach and become a blessing for others.

She says, “I was raised into the enneagram by my mother who helped me to continue healing by getting to know me through the enneagram. It has truly inspired me to continue using this tool as a blessing for others. In the end, we need love. And the patience, and kindness that represent it. Everything else is a fight in vain. The takeaway is, don’t let the world convince you that fear is the answer. Love is the key.”

Today we’re going to ask Amayla to share

    • More about her own process and certification training
    • How we can use the enneagram tools to help family struggles

  • 238 - Striptease as Transformation with Dr. Lynn Sally

Another unique and interesting interview on the No Labels, No Limits podcast, as this week we’re joined by Dr. Lynn Sally, author, performer, and scholar. Or, as she likes to say, she’s a professor by day and a "stripper" by night.

Performance studies scholar and acclaimed burlesque artist Lynn "Dr. Lucky" Sally offers an inside look at New York's neo-burlesque scene's history, culture, and philosophy. Do you think there are stigmas and consequences associated with being "out" as a burlesquer in the working world? Let's discuss. We also explore the ideas around burlesque empowering performers by affording them opportunities to command attention in ways that increase confidence and shrink insecurities.

We mentioned that the talented Dr. Sally is an author, too. Her recent book, Neo-Burlesque: Striptease as Transformation, reveals how twenty-first-century neo-burlesque is in constant dialogue with the classic burlesque of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She considers today's performers preconceived notions of femininity and explores how the striptease performer directs the audience's gaze, putting on layers of meaning while taking off layers of clothing.

She leaves us with some thoughtful insight when she says, ”Be yourself, unapologetically & boldly.”

Welcome to another inspiring episode of our No Labels, No Limits podcast as we are joined by Stephani Cook.

  • 236 - Enneagram Supports Moms with Elizabeth Brennan

We welcome another great guest this week on our No Labels, No Limits podcast, a podcast all about shedding limiting labels and beliefs. We are joined by Elizabeth Brennan, Founder of Sound Mind Enneagram Coaching.

She is a former elementary and middle school teacher turned stay-at-home mom. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and her Enneagram coaching certification from Your Enneagram Coach.

As an Enneagram coach, her passion is to help people, especially mothers, learn all the ways God has gifted them. She uses the Enneagram as a tool to highlight the unique qualities God has given each one of us. When not working with the Enneagram, she loves reading, knitting, and playing board games with friends and family. She also considers herself a lifelong-learner, which has proven very useful.

These days she feels especially strongly for mothers of children with developmental delays. Her own daughter has a speech delay that they have been working on for the past year. At the same time discovering additional struggles with sensory integration. Understandably, Elizabeth felt overwhelmed with everything they needed to do to support her daughter’s growth and development.

Today we’re going to ask Elizabeth about:

    • how to think about the Enneagram
    • how the Enneagram can help support moms, and how it helped her
    • what moms can do if they know their type but not their spouse’s
    • and on a more personal note, what it’s like to be a social 6w5 mom

  • 233 - Setting a Sufficiency Mindset with Eleanor Beaton

We are so grateful to have you join us for this episode of the No Labels, No Limits podcast as we interview Eleanor Beaton. Eleanor is the founder of SafiMedia, an education & coaching company for women entrepreneurs. Through SafiMedia and the podcast, Power + Presence + Position, Eleanor and her team are committed to advancing global gender equity through women’s entrepreneurship.

They're on a mission to double the number of women entrepreneurs who scale past $1M in revenue by 2030!

What really stands out is her insights and wisdom about women leaders...

    ·      going after seemingly “impossible goals”

    ·      redefining relationships with money and time

    ·      scaling for impact

When asked about a daily practice that centers her, she says, "Rather than making a to-do list, I ask myself who I need to become to be the woman capable of having the things that I want. What essential qualities do I want to cultivate within myself in order to accomplish my goals? It's about who I am becoming vs. what I need to do."
