In 2018 the bathymetric exploration of the Lake Garda’s seabed was started and then carried out by the Italian Navy and the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences of Università Cattolica. The seabed will provide greater navigation safety and address the problems related to climate change and greater protection of this lake ecosystem.

Scholars and researchers will now have data and images at their disposal to better safeguard the lake ecosystem. Alfredo Marzocchi, professor of Mathematical Physics at the faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, and Scientific Project Coordinator, explains the survey.
