Illinois men’s basketball finally finds themselves in the Big Ten win column after taking down #14 Wisconsin in Champaign on Saturday, 79-69. Craig Choate (live from State Farm Center) and Logan Lee break it all down from this Illini Postgame Show from No One Asked Us.
The team we saw on Saturday was much more similar to the team that beat UCLA and Texas earlier in the season compared to the one that has been on the floor since. Illinois used a well-rounded scoring attack to defeat the Badgers, who were without their leading scorer Tyler Wahl.
Illinois freshman guard Skyy Clark announced on social media Friday that he was taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team. Craig and Logan briefly discuss those implications on the team moving forward.
Illinois hits the road to battle Nebraska on Tuesday night at 8:00 CT in Lincoln.

Illinois basketball has bought real estate at Cedar Point, Ohio for this season. After a massive win over #2 Texas, Illinois followed that with a dud in a loss at home to Penn State. Logan Lee and Craig Choate give their thoughts in this episode of No One Asked Us.
Brad Underwood went on another postgame rant, something he’s done pretty much every year. Where is the leadership going to come from? What defines leadership? The guys discuss.
Chris Beard got arrested. We go over the details that have been released. Bad situation in Austin.
Devon Witherspoon was robbed of the Thorpe Award, but did earn first team All-American honors from the AP making him the first consensus All-American at Illinois since 2015. Chase Brown didn’t win the Doak Walker Award but was named second team All-American by the AP, as was Johnny Newton. Alex Palczewski was third team.
Ryan Walters didn’t win the Broyles Award was named Coordinator of the Year by multiple outlets.
Caleb Williams wins the Heisman but the system is broken if Stetson Bennett finishes in 4th place ahead of Hendon Hooker, Bryce Young, and Blake Corum. Jeff Brohm is back home leading the Louisville football program. Craig gives thoughts from the Derby City.
Thoughts and prayers out to Mike Leach, his family, and the Mississippi State program. Tough news to hear about one of the best personalities in college football.

After their massive win in New York City on Tuesday over #2 Texas, Illinois laid an absolute eggs at home on Saturday with a 74-59 loss to Penn State. Craig Choate and Logan Lee discuss in this Illini Postgame Show from No One Asked Us.
The Nittany Lions (7-3, 1-1) shot lights out in Champaign and controlled the whole game on their way to their first Big Ten win. Illinois was able to cut the lead down to five with 12 minutes let, but Penn State made three 3s in the span of about 45 seconds to extend it back to 14 and it never got closer.
Illinois is off for a week before a couple more non-conference games. Alabama A&M comes to town on the 17th for a 3:00 CT/4:00 ET start on BTN.
