We live in a world full of amazing stories. Those amazing stories exist regardless of our response to them. Our response says more about us than it does about the amazing story. Life is full of wonderfully true stories of lives saved, fortunes won, medical miracles, lost lovers reunited, and people found alive after being presumed dead. We live in a world of amazing stories.

One of the most famous of those amazing stories is Noah’s ark. You don’t need to go to church to be familiar with the big picture of the story. In the midst of a sinful world God has favor on Noah, a righteous man, who is called to build an ark, fill it with his family and animals to preserve them from a massive flood that God will send to destroy the earth. And the plan worked! After more than a century of construction and a year on the boat, Noah and his family walked out to repopulate the earth. It’s an absolutely amazing story.
