In order to fit millions of years into Scripture many Christians argue that Noah’s flood was just a local flood in Mesopotamia. But this isn’t what the Bible says!
Genesis tells us that the water covered even the highest hills “under the entire heavens.” And it emphasizes that every single living thing on land died except those on the Ark. If the flood was just local, how were all the high hills flooded with water? And how did everything on land die?
And remember Noah’s flood lasted over one year! Local floods don’t last nearly that long. The Bible couldn’t be more clear—this was a worldwide event.
