Air date October 19, 2021.  Hard as it may be to believe at times, the democrats are single-handedly preserving our constitutional system by doing precisely what the Founding Fathers expected us to do––hash it out.  The end result will be a Build Back Better bill/law that will stand as a hallmark of democracy and foreshadow the revitalization of the American political system.

CLR Show 1607. Air Date October 15, 2021. Is America on a path that could lead to a dystopia akin to the one posited by Margaret Atwood in 'The Handmaid's Tale'? The fact-free, intensified grievances of loyal trumpists would suggest we could be. A knowledge of our own history and a no less intense commitment to disseminating truth are our best defenses.

The Buddhist concept of mindfulness––which includes choosing to exist in the real present––would seem at total odds with the forces of social media that continually urge us to extrapolate from de-contextualized factoids or outright mistruths. In the real present, there are opportunities to pass a more centrist version of the Biden agenda that will benefit Americans of all stripes, and not require a zero-sum defeat of all 'others'... or ourselves.

The republicans' willingness to even consider weaponizing the full faith and credit of the country to score cheap political points is indicative of the path they have committed to and the damage they will invariably and inexorably do to the country unless they are continually called out and thwarted by all reasonable means. The company is in the business of intentionally pandering to, and making billions off of their users' expressed vulnerabilities. Facebook's liability––and future structure––must reflect their past behavior.

CLR Show 1603. Air Date October 1, 2021.  James Carville's 'It's The Economy, Stupid' demands restatement for current democrats. In truth, we have everything going for us: full control of government and the overwhelming popularity of our programs.
