Following last week's Aesthetics Mastery Show in which Dr Tim summarised the case of Julie Bass Kaplan FNP-BC who suffered a necrotic injury after she was treated with Radiesse, today we tackle the lessons to be taken from this important case.
Dr Tim analyses the various risk factors present, including the choice of a non-reversible filler; the injection site; the size of the bolus; the length of the needle; and the training environment in which the injections were carried out.
We examine the stages of necrosis that Julie experienced, and are lucky enough to learn from very well documented images.
Thank you once again to Julie for sharing her experience, and the invaluable learning for all of us that has come from that.
