The presence of God rescues, leads, protects, and delivers His people. We see it most clearly in how God moves His people through the Red Sea in the face of certain death by Pharaoh's armies. Like He did with Israel and how Christ does with us today, that redemption leads us to worship Him fully. Praise Him!

The central image of our faith is blood. It delivered the Israelites from the tenth plague in Egypt, and it delivers us from sin's slavery today. Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed. Praise Him!

Frogs. Gnats. Skin boils. Hail. Darkness. Sounds like a horror movie, doesn't it? But God used all these things and more to wake up Pharaoh, Egypt, and His people to His greatness and majesty over all of the universe. And He ultimately used it to deliver His people, for His glory. God reigns, today as much as He did in Exodus. Trust Him.

Moses and Israel did the same, but God patiently and gently reminds them of His past, present, and future work. May we have a rock-solid trust in Him, even through the storms of life.

Yahweh. I AM WHO I AM. God is. Faced with his own limitations, Moses doubted the power of God His presence brings. Unfortnately, we do the same today. But God brings grace upon grace and meets us in our weakness, patiently walking with us through difficult circumstances and doubt.
