In our forth and final sermon covering the long sentence -of II Thessalonians Chapter 1, Verses 3-10- that Paul presents in the Greek, we will look at what Paul tells the Thessalonians in verse 10. Here, Paul presents a picture of a victorious Christ, returning to offer rest to His people and judgment on His enemies. Paul is using several significant terms to describe this day- Christ's return -parousia-, His revelation -apocalypsis-, the day of Christ, and the Day of the Lord. Secondly, Paul speaks to the revelation of purpose on that great day- Christ will be glorified in His people, and we will marvel at His glory- What a day of glory that will be-
