This sermon covers Paul's warning to the Thessalonians -and to us- on the subject of sexual immorality. While the church is surrounded by a culture that promotes a loose standard of morality, we must reject worldly thinking. Paul leaves no doubt as to the seriousness of sexual impurity before a holy and righteous God.

In tonight's sermon, we look at the first chapter of the Book of Habakkuk. There, we see Habakkuk question God as to why He has not judged the evil that is occurring in Judah. When God answers in an unexpected and shocking way, it leaves the prophet to question God's plan. This serves as a great reminder that God is sovereign and is executing His perfect will- He does not need our assistance or counsel.

Our introductory sermon in a series through Habakkuk, we look at the era in which the prophet was called. Habakkuk's era was one of the darkest in the history of Judah- what is striking is that it came so soon after the heights of Josiah's reformation. It is in these dark days that Habakkuk prophesies.

In this sermon, we look at Paul's offering of Thanksgiving for the Thessalonian church who received the Word of God. Their faithfulness to Christ, despite great persecution, places them in a heritage of faithfulness before God. It also marks the opponents of the Gospel, who are falling under the wrath of God. This text should give us pause to consider anew the grace of God which delivers His people from certain wrath.

Today, we look at Jeremiah and his call to reformation in the 26th chapter of his letter. We will also look at the broader call of God that His people might reform their ways.

Our first sermon in our series through II Thessalonians, we will begin by looking at the continuity that is found between these two letters. We will further look at the letter's greeting and purpose. Paul reminds us of the grace and peace that is found in only in Christ Jesus.

This message continues our series in I Thessalonians by focusing on the Thanksgiving that Paul offers to God for the faith of the Thessalonian believers in chapter 1. The Thessalonians have demonstrated a genuine faith that has produced fruit and endured hardship. It is our prayer that we would learn from the testimony of this young church- a church which made a great impact in their city and beyond for the glory of God-

Looking to the opening verses of Paul's Second Letter to Timothy, we find that Paul believes that Timothy is able to stand in difficult times by faith...a faith that Paul had seen before in Timothy's mother and grandmother. Timothy has a great heritage of faith. It is a reminder that Christian parents are called by almighty God to present their own heritage of faith to their children.

As we prepare to return to II Thessalonians, having had a couple of months off from this journey, we want to review where we have been. II Thessalonians is a fascinating letter which reveals much of the successes and struggles of this young church. Join us as we return to this great letter, preparing today that we might be ready to journey into new ground next Sunday.

In this sermon, we return to I Thessalonians 4-13-18 to look in greater detail in this amazing passage. In this text, Paul tells us some of what can be expected at the glorious return of Christ. On that great day, there will be the shout of command of God, the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God. This mighty promise is an encouragement to the people of God, knowing that both the living and the dead in Christ shall have a part in that amazing day-
