Today we recorded two of our Winter Concert Pieces to show our progress so far. We still have work to do before the concert, but are happy with how far we have come.   Our pieces are:

It is pep band and podcast Friday!  We wanted to share a fun tune we learned today - "Uptown Funk", and part of one of our Winter Concert pieces "Gettysburg".  We are working on watching the conductor to stay together as a large ensemble.  

It's Pep Band and Podcast Friday, and the 7th Grade Band decided to learn "Adams Family" for fun sight-reading, and record part of their song "Fast Break."  You will hear Fast Break in full at our Winter Concert. This section features the alto saxophone section, and you can hear a forte-piano-crescendo. Enjoy!

It's "Pep Band Friday," and the 7th grade band learned the theme to Jaws as a fun sight-reading activity. We practiced half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, repeats, and learned how to trill!  We also learned the theme to The Adams Family. We can't wait to see the middle school musical in a few weeks!

We also recorded a part of one of our Winter Concert Pieces: Gettysburg.  It depicts the sounds of the famous Civil War Battle. This is still a work in progress, but the students have worked very hard so far!
