Nos Audietis

The Sounders are in the midst of a 10-game unbeaten streak that includes an eight-game run in which they’ve scored 26 goals. To say they are playing well doesn’t really do them justice. Jeremiah and Aaron discuss if this is the best the Sounders have ever been and have the receipts to make the case.

They also take a look at the remaining schedule and try to assess how high they can reasonably finish in the Western Conference.

The Sounders are playing great, scoring goals for fun and getting contributions from players up and down the roster. But they’ve also run straight into another injury crisis. Although the transfer window is open for another two weeks, all signs are pointing to the Sounders not making any big moves. Niko and Jeremiah explain why that is and what it could mean.

We weren’t sure what to expect going in, but it’s safe to say that Jeremiah and Aaron were pretty impressed by what they saw from the Sounders in Phase One of Leagues Cup. Not only did they go 3-0-0, but they got impressive performances up and down the roster.

The Sounders hung seven on arguably the best team in Concacaf, leaving Jeremiah and Niko Moreno searching for ways to explain it. One thing they know, Pedro de la Vega is the one player who is most capable of raising the Sounders’ ceiling.

After the break, they have a lengthy discussion with Ballard FC Sporting Director and head coach James Riley about the upcoming USL2 National Championship.

The Sounders hit the Leagues Cup break in better shape than they were in last year, but also feeling as if things could have been a lot better. Jeremiah and Aaron give their assessment and what they want to see over the final 10 games.

After the break, they explain why finishing fourth in the Leagues Cup is actually the worst possible outcome.

One of the most consistent voices in the American soccer media space over the past 15 years has been Jason Davis. Currently with SiriusXM, he came up through the blogging and podcasting ranks on such outlets as MatchFit USA, ESPNFC, Best Soccer Show and Morning Kickaround. He’s also got a new newsletter.

With the Men’s World Cup a year away, Jeremiah felt like now would be a good time to have a larger conversation about the state of soccer media.

They may not have solved any big problems, but they did have an interesting conversation that went all over the place. Enjoy.

The Sounders are 3-0-2 with 12 goals scored since the Club World Cup. That’s obviously great and these games have been pretty exciting. But they’re also on pace to give up a lot more goals than they did last year. Jeremiah and Aaron discuss how big of a problem that is and what the solution might be.

In the second segment, they power rank their hopes and dreams for the summer transfer window.

The Sounders blew a 3-0 lead while giving up a pair of penalties, which continues a frustrating run of results that seem like they should have been better than they were. Jeremiah and Niko discuss how big of a concern these lapses should be and express some concern over the impact tired legs could be having on all this. They also wade in on the Nouhou situation.

After the break, Jeremiah interviews Sounders A-League icon Wade Webber about his experiences with the 1995 league champions.
