Nostalgia Blinded episodes
- Nostalgia Blinded 22: Climb Onto Andre the GiantLong into the distant past, before Skylanders, before Amiibo, before even Pokemon Rumble U... There was UB Funkeys, the bizarre and almost entirely forgotten grandfather of the toys-to-life video game genre. One of our hosts was actually there for this short-lived MMO sensation... even if he didn't quite experience the "MMO" part. This week, the Nicks jack into a bigger version of themselves to talk some U.B. Funkeys. And you can listen to it right now... if you be funky! - Nostalgia Blinded 21: Nick, It's About Cats. And Owls. And Bears.
Folks, there were a lot of talking animal fantasy book series based on Harry Potter that came out in the early to mid 2000's. Some really spoke to us! Others... well, let's just say we're real kittypets when it comes to the Warriors series. No disrespect of course! We just think that no amount of extra lives can save you from a shapeshifting bear. This week, the Nicks moonblink you into listening to them talk about Warriors, Seekers, and The Guardians of Ga'hoole!

1 hr 5 min - Nostalgia Blinded 20: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2: Wild Breaths
It's important to note that this episode was recorded before this morning's incredible Nintendo Direct, so the Nicks were completely unaware of the earth-shattering revelations about Breath of the Wild 2 contained therein. If they had just waited a little longer, they would have been able to address the announcement that Zelda is both playable and has a gun, the casting of Patrick Warburton as the voice of Link, and of course the retroactive de-canonization of Skyward Sword. Shigeru's done it again, folks. This week, the Nicks see if they have the stamina for an extra-long conversation about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild!

1 hr 27 min - Nostalgia Blinded 19: Bobs All The Way Down
So The Incredibles is a pretty storied franchise, from its origins as the first Pixar film to feature an all-human cast to its lackluster return in 2018, not to mention the ill-advisedly Bob-heavy GameCube adaptation. The Nicks are here to take you through all of it this week, from the good to the bad to the Edna, along with tangents about other Pixar movies, philosophical musings, and a surprise special guest! This week, the Nicks dash through The Incredibles.

1 hr 2 min - Nostalgia Blinded 18: It’s Beanworld, Not Bean World
Nick takes Nick on a journey through Larry Marder’s twisted reflection of our own society: Beanworld. Although, it’s not quite on the same level of biting satire as Sitting Ducks. Really, there’s a lot of things Beanworld shares in common with our realm, including chips, twinks, and the Bone Zone. Truly, two sides of the same coin. This week, the Nicks chow down on a delicious discussion about Larry Marder’s Beanworld!

50 min - Nostalgia Blinded 17: DA SUPAH MARIO BROTHAS SUPAH SHOW!
Hey paisanos! We're the Nick Bros. and podcasting's our game! Usually we don't recommend food pairings with the show, but ya gotta get yaself a nice pasta dish with a big ole slice-a da pizza to go with this episode. If ya worried about da calories, no problem! Simply swing your arms from side ta side, and occasionally take one step, and den again. Not only will dis make da episode more enjoyable, but it'll also prevent you from going to hell before you die. Oh!!! I'm Italian!!! This week, the Nicks jump into a discussion about The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! and a bit of the Zelda cartoon!

1 hr 4 min - Nostalgia Blinded 16: Nick, This is Good!
The internet is full of wonderfully niche places, but none are quite like TOME. Born in the fires of Newground, this humble and surprisingly high quality series is as niche as they come. Listen in real time as the Nicks go from poking fun at it to singing the praises of free-content creators everywhere. But we can all agree, Flamegirl is a dumb name. This week, the Nicks get charmed by a little series called TOME!

53 min - Nostalgia Blinded 15: Clone Troopers But Better & The Name So Nice They Put “Jedi” In It TwiceThe Star Wars Expanded Universe, now dubbed “Legends” ever since the Disney buy-out, is a wild and crazy place where some weird ass books and games that are trying way too hard to be edgy live. We initially thought that George Lucas had no involvement in the creation of most of those stories, but as we learned today in an exclusive Nostalgia Blinded interview, the inner mechanisms of the Cowboy of Skywalker Ranch’s mind are complex and...sinister. This week, the Nicks speak! about Star Wars: Republic Commando and Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast!Follow Andy Huber (@yafroglog on Instagram) for amazing art stuff!Follow Nick and the Leg-Heavy Boys (@nickandthelegheavyboys on Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok) for amazing music stuff! If you’re looking for anti-racism sources and have the means to help out both Black Lives Matter and the AAPI community, you can find them at these links!https://linktr.ee/blacklivesmatterhttps://linktr.ee/aapisolidarity1 hr
- Nostalgia Blinded 14: They Both Start With “R”...
After recording this episode, we’re pretty sure that we could teach a pretty solid screenwriting class. We know just where to put the sensitive young artists, incredulous fathers, fish out of water gags, distant mentor figures, wacky sidekicks, and vehicular chase scenes. Or at least we know how to point at a movie and identify all of that. This week, the Nicks take a look at two suspiciously similar animated flicks: “Ratatouille” and “Robots!”

1 hr 2 min - Nostalgia Blinded 13: Theoretical Skateboard Tricks
Do NOT attempt the theoretical skateboard tricks unless you are a certified thrasher. No room for mob or sketchy acid drops unless you want to faceplant directly on your brain bucket and die. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a fun skateboarding term for dying. Bummer. This week, the Nicks prove they’re not posers by talking about Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1!

About Nostalgia Blinded
From the publisher's feed
Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and think, "God, remember Zoo Pals?"
Welcome to Nostalgia Blinded, the show where two best friends with the same first name take a rose-tinted look at the media of the past! Join Nick and Nick every week(ish) as they foolishly attempt to curtail the never-ceasing flow of time by talking about cancelled TV shows and ill-conceived commercials, video games from before Instagram existed, overlong book series that probably have a whole bunch of problematic stuff in them, and albums that your parents think are totally cool.
