There is a quiet violence in how we speak to ourselves.A subtle war disguised as “self-improvement.”We scroll through solutions like wounds, chasing the better version. The healed version. The finally lovable version. But what if nothing’s wrong with you?
What if your sadness is intelligent? What if your fatigue is ancient? What if your disconnection is not dysfunction, but an invitation?
The I AWAKE system was not born from a desire to fix myself. It was born from the moment I stopped.Stopped trying to override my exhaustion.Stopped trying to make my longing smaller.Stopped pretending I didn’t ache to be touched, witnessed, met.
And then, something opened. Not all at once. But slowly, gently, like spring thawing the frost.A deeper self. A wilder one. The one that never left, only waited.
This isn’t a journey of fixing. It’s a journey of returning.
Returning to your body.To your knowing. To your rhythm. To the symbolic, sensory language of your inner world.
You don’t need to earn your right to feel good. You were born with it.
If you feel tired of becoming someone else to be worthy,You’re in the right place.
If you feel curious about what your body might say if it trusted you again,You’re home.
MINI RITUAL: The Return to Self
Name: The First TouchTime: 5 minutesTools: Just you. Optional: a mirror or phone voice memo. When: Right after reading the email, before the mind can talk you out of it.
1. Find StillnessSit somewhere you won’t be interrupted. Close your eyes.Let your body breathe however it wants. Not how it should. Not “deep.” Not “calm.” Just honest.
Whisper to yourself:“I’m not broken. I’m listening.”Let the words echo.
2. Place a Hand Where You’re Most TenderMaybe your chest. Maybe your belly. Maybe somewhere surprising.Wherever your attention goes first, go there.Press your palm gently. Not to fix.Just to meet.
Ask silently:What part of me have I been avoiding because I thought it was wrong?Wait. Listen.
3. Let a Sound ComeA breath. A sigh. A word. A hum.Let it rise from that place of tenderness. No judgment. This is not performance, it’s conversation.
If you feel brave, record it.Not to share. Just to hear yourself being real.
4. Closing WhisperSay to yourself, aloud or inside:“I am returning. Not to who I was. But to who I’ve always been beneath the noise.”
Then open your eyes. Drink some water. Touch something real, a leaf, your skin, a stone.
🌿 This ritual is your soft refusal.Your refusal to abandon yourself.Your way of saying: I’m still here.
