AHHHH! NOT FROM HERE’S FIRST INTERNATIONAL GUEST!! This week Riley & Isa were thrilled to sit down with born & bred Australian performer, Chloe Gabila! Traveling 9,000+ miles from home to pursue her Broadway dreams, Chloe shares her journey to The Big Apple with us, and all that she has learned along the way! 

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY, NOT FROM HERE!!! <3  To celebrate, Isa and Riley  take a trip down memory lane and reflect on the past year of producing the podcast and the growth that has come with it. They also dive into how “Not From Here” came to be and give you the steps to creating your own podcast! 

This week Riley and Isa are joined by Meghan Corbett! Most recently having worked on the Norwegian Breakaway as Catherine of Aragon in Six, Meghan shares a behind the scenes look at what life as a performer aboard the ship is like. They talk audition process, day to day on the ship, and even some more technical questions on how the magic is made for every show! Riley and Isa catch you up on their holiday season and New Year, dive into the eventful cruise extravaganza they went on in early January, talk all things book club and the Detroit Lions, and even touch on the difficulties audition season brings! This week the girls are joined by the extraordinary and multi-faceted Ethan Carlson! Originally from Topeka, Kansas, Ethan shares snippets of his youth and talks through his journey of getting to NYC. Most well known for his work in the National Tour of Waitress, he has simultaneously been creating a design & photography business as well as writing and working on two original pieces. Ethan’s original work, Her Sound is his first Song Cycle that was performed at Joe’s Pub in 2022. He also wrote and collaborated with Cassidy Layton on Goliath, a new musical that just underwent its first 29 hour AEA reading. Riley and Isa pick Ethan’s genius brain throughout the episode and still get some timeless “Not From Here” moments out of him! While he describes himself as a fun horror story , we’d like to make an amendment and describe him as fun & horrifically brilliant. If he wasn’t on your radar before, now he is. The girls’ money is on Ethan taking over the world!
