This week we explore the oceans near Costa Rica with marine biologist Christine Figgener. Dr. Figgener tells us how she got interested in marine biology, how she helps thousands of sea turtles nest each year, and what we can do even from a landlocked location to help save our oceans. We also talk about the viral video she created that now has over 200 million views. We talk how it happened, what we all can learn from it, and exactly what happened to that sea turtle who had a straw lodged in it's nose. This was a powerful conversation with a person making a major difference in the world. You will not want to miss it!

This week I have an extremely powerful conversation with Lee Wong about the discrimination that people in the Asian community faces both currently and in the past in America. Mr. Wong shares the story of how he was filmed speaking about this very issue at a West Chester, Ohio trustee meeting where he voiced his unhappiness of people questioning his patriotism because he looks or speaks differently than them. What people at this meeting did not know was that he is an US Army veteran and revealed the scars on his chest to prove it. It was a thought provoking speech and one that went viral. You will not want to miss this one!

This week I speak with, "Sparrow", an author and makeup artist who's life changed dramatically 4 years ago when she suddenly began to faint and have extreme spikes in heart rate any time she stood up. She shares that journey and the rare condition associated with it all. We also talk about some of the other connected conditions she now lives with. But, this all has led her to an interesting place of being a full time wheelchair user with legs that technically are still able to walk. We talked about the struggles she has faced and the positive journey she has taken now in disability advocacy. We also talk about her amazing work as a makeup artist and a budding fantasy author.

We start this week with wire taps and hostage situations and end it with stand up specials and Tiger King documentaries. This week I speak with retired Indiana State Trooper, Todd McComas, about his time in law enforcement and his unique transition to stand up comedy after twenty years behind a badge. It was a fantastic conversation about how these two things have played such a major part of his life and continue to do so. We talk his life on the force, life in comedy, and now his life as a sometimes funny, always engaging true crime podcaster. You will not want to miss this one!

The second part of my interview with attorney Chris Tritico. If you have not listened to last week's episode (#089) it is necessary to do that before listening this week. We pick up right where we left off and Mr. Tritico talks about the final verdict in the Oklahoma City Bombing case, the appeals process, and the emotional and human side of seeing someone he grew to understand a bit more put to death. We also speak about a tragedy in Chris' life with the murder of his daughter Maria Tritico. I was honored to hear about her and learn about the legacy she left behind. This was a powerful second half of a very interesting conversation.
