Oryon, Chase, and Jade get invited to meet with Lord Barrow as his guests for dinner. During the meeting the group tells Lord Barrow about the death of the Marsh family. Lord Barrow offers some aid in their quest for getting justice for Lord Marsh.

Chase and Jade return to the Thistlespire manor and let the rest of the group know about Oryon's dilemma. They help with some Winter Crest celebrating in the manor and Jade and Lilith come up with an idea for combat. The next day they practice having Lilith throw Jade at a target. Oryon visits briefly with his family. Later there's some day drinking and Lilith's pirate hang over cure. Also the party is informed they have a meeting with the prince and his people as they continue pursuing justice for the Marsh family.

In a flashback, Oryon and Grunk arrive in Grimsby and seek out help from the chief temple of Edarr. Chase, assisted by Jade, works to make black powder for Warrant. Afterwards, they decide to go check on Grunk and Oryon.

The party leaves behind Marsh Island with the words of the specter of Lord Marsh echoing in their heads to get him justice. The journey to the Thistlespire villa is a little dangerous as Jade takes the reigns of the carriage. Once back, they report, they get paid, and their plan for vengeance against Lord Commander Aleph begins.

The morning after the sahuagin raid finds the village covered in snow. The party realizes they need to head back to the manor and eventually the dock on the south side of the island to signal for the ship to come pick them up before winter makes the seas too dangerous. However the way back is treacherous and not just because of the snow.

Chase, Jade, and Mord ready to deal with the oncoming sahuagin horde, while Lillith, Lotus, and Thorn arrive at the fishing village. The battle for the village looms in the deep heart of the night.

Oryon and Grunk leave Marsh Island to head back to Grimsby to seek aid from their faith. Chase, Jade, and the hobgoblin Mord move on to inspect the fishing village on the north coast. What they find is bone chilling, just like the winter that has finally arrived.

With both Oryon and Grunk now infected with weretiger lycanthropy, the party has to figure out how to keep themselves and their friends safe as the first night of the full moon occurs. For Oryon, his new status is a shock to his core faith.

The scouting party returns to the camp to inform Oryon and Chase about what they discovered might be the situation at the fishing village. With a quick stop at the hot spring to clean up, the party treks into the grasslands on the northern side of the island. There they encounter a foe that could cause major changes for the group.

The party is surprised as they see four heads appear out of the large hot spring fed bathing pool. Quickly realizing they are facing sahuagin, the party springs to action. And a question is raised...how many more of these lurk on the island?
