I am curious to know how you deal with overwhelm because if I’m being honest, I have been feeling it!

I know that this is such a common feeling, especially in this community. We're trying to grow a business, raise a family, hold down a job, take care of the house, take care of our health, and so many other things. That is a lot to juggle all at once.

In this episode, I am chatting with you about why I have felt overwhelmed and what I do to help manage it. I have six tips for this!

These tips are helpful for me, so I hope that they are helpful for you too.

I talk about hiring help a lot because it’s something that we are all scared to do in the beginning stages of our business. The problem with this is that not hiring keeps us stuck because we aren’t able to do everything ourselves.

To continue to grow and scale our business without getting burnt out, hiring is crucial. Plus, you probably don’t want to be doing everything yourself anyway. Right?

As someone who has experienced these feelings and gone through the hiring process, I am giving you some insight as well as explaining 5 hiring mistakes that I see happen often.

She began her career as a 5th-grade teacher before moving into a math interventionist/coach role. Currently, she serves upper elementary teachers through meaningful professional development both online and in schools.

Have you ever been in your Facebook group and it's like crickets? Do you create all this great content in your membership or course and no one's talking about it?

Gamification might be the answer to your problems. 

It's okay if you have no idea what gamification is because I am bringing on an expert, Tama-Lea Lorenzen, to teach us all about it. 

Tama-Lea helps to teach other online entrepreneurs how to incorporate gamification into their Facebook groups, their online courses, and their memberships so that their paying members are consuming more of their content and are more engaged.

She’s going to teach you how you can use it in this episode to do the same. 

She's been in the training industry for over 20 years, so she knows a thing or two about getting people to learn. She's worked for some big companies like IBM and Starbucks, and she is the founder of Engaging Gamification and the Players Club membership.

I was hesitant to do this episode because I’m a little mad at Pinterest right now. Anyone else? It’s just not getting me the views and the sales that it used to!

I realized that probably just means that I need to learn some new strategies, so here we are. I’ve brought Kate Ahl on to answer all of our Pinterest questions. 

Kate is the owner and CEO of Simple Pin Media. She has a passion for helping bloggers/content creators and small business owners grow their business using Pinterest. When she teaches Pinterest marketing, she aims for it to be actionable, simple steps that help business owners move forward successfully instead of feeling overwhelmed.

+ Pinterest as a business is still doing well. 

+ We’re never going to get back the traffic of 2015, and that’s okay. 

+ Followers matter more than they used to. 

+ Use story pins wisely.
