  • Moving To Northern Italy To Be Able To Travel Around Europe
In this expat podcast episode of Not Your Average Globetrotter we'll talk about the questions that I often get via email about moving to northern Italy, some wondering specifically about various regions and towns. Because I spent time living in Alto Adige I also get questions about moving to Alto Adige too. In this video, I wanted to answer an email that combined the topics of moving to Italy with a family and moving to Italy to be able to travel around Europe. Both northern and southern Italy can be great hop-off points to travel around Europe for cheap. However, it does take some planning, and also it's important to consider how far away from the airports you will be. But even though Italy can be great for travelers, because of how much there is to see in such a small area, it can be great to just travel around Italy while living abroad in Italy as an expat. When considering the move to Italy, these topics discussed in the video are just another few points to add to your list of considerations.

  • Moving Abroad Illegally... Bad Idea?
In this expat podcast episode of Not Your Average Globetrotter I wanted to talk about messages I sometimes receive from individuals who are thinking about moving abroad Illegally. Becoming an Illegal immigrant comes with a number of challenges which we'll talk about in this video to try and paint a picture of some potential situations that may arise if you move to another country without a visa or permission of stay. When talking about Italy, if trying to get a permesso di soggiorno for Italy, even when studying in Italy, you will run into restrictions on how much it would be possible to work. The life of an illegal immigrant can be a difficult one.

In this video, we'll go over why I personally wouldn't buy a home in Italy for 1 Euro. But yes would buy a house in Italy. I think it would in fact be great to buy a home in Italy but I would personally choose to go a different route especially as an expat living in Italy already and having experience with life in Italy. If you're looking for a place to live there are other cheap places in Italy. 1 euro houses for sale Italy exist, but the final cost will almost surely be more.
