Nothing is Required: Trauma-Informed Gong Listening episodes

  • Dreamy Escape with Chiron Gong

This is an hour and forty minutes of spacious, immersive listening with the Chiron Gong.

Dreamy Escape is not an instruction to leave your body or disappear. It is an invitation to soften the edges of constant vigilance — gently, and only as far as your system allows.

The Chiron Gong carries tones that feel layered, wide, and quietly powerful. In this extended session, the sound unfolds slowly, without urgency. There is no guided narrative. No breath pacing. No expectation of emotional release.

You are not required to relax.
You are not required to “go deep.”
You are not required to process anything.

    You may drift.
     You may stay alert.
You may notice nothing at all.

For trauma-shaped nervous systems, length can offer something valuable: time to settle without being rushed. This 1 hour and 40 minute arc allows your body to find its own rhythm with the sound — or simply coexist beside it.

Some listeners describe the Chiron Gong as spacious, oceanic, or dreamlike. Others experience grounding, containment, or subtle internal movement. All responses are valid.

    This session honors autonomy first.
     You may pause.
     You may skip forward.
You may return to the same section repeatedly.

Dreamy Escape is not about leaving reality.
It is about experiencing sound in a way that does not demand anything from you.

    Only listening.
     Only space.
     Only choice.

The opening moments of this episode include a short excerpt from Regulation Before Release.

This excerpt is offered as orientation and stabilization before the main content begins. It is not an exercise and does not ask the listener to relax, process, or change anything. The sound is shared as structure—something steady that can be present while the nervous system settles at its own pace.

  • The Power of Three

This episode is built on a simple truth: three creates stability.

    Three tones.
    Three movements.
    Three spaces to land.

In trauma-informed sound work, repetition and contained structure can help the nervous system feel orientation without demand. This session moves through three distinct sonic phases — not to fix, shift, or regulate you — but to offer gentle structure your body can meet on its own terms.

You are not asked to relax.
You are not required to go anywhere emotionally.
You are not expected to transform.

Instead, this is an arc of presence:
    • First — arriving.
    • Second — deepening or witnessing.
    • Third — integration.

The Power of Three honors rhythm, containment, and choice. You may listen once. You may repeat one section. You may turn it off halfway through.

    There is no performance here.
    Only sound.
    Only space.
    Only your autonomy.

  • Steady in the Noise

Steady in the Noise is a trauma-informed guided script created for moments when the environment feels intrusive, loud, or emotionally destabilizing — and leaving is not immediately possible.

This script does not ask you to silence the world around you. It does not ask you to overpower it. Instead, it gently redirects attention inward, reinforcing the distinction between external stimulus and internal stability.

Through slow pacing and boundary-oriented language, Steady in the Noise supports nervous system containment. It is designed for use in overstimulating households, tense shared spaces, or environments where emotional neutrality is necessary.

    This is not about confrontation.
     It is not about endurance.
     It is about conserving energy.

    The noise may continue.
     Your steadiness can remain.

    Low stimulus.
     Clear boundary.
     Safe enough inside.

  • Low Stimulus / High Boundary

Low Stimulus / High Boundary is a containment arc designed for moments when the environment feels loud, intrusive, or emotionally unsafe — and your nervous system needs steadiness without escalation.

This sequence moves from rupture to regulation, from internal bracing to deliberate detachment. Through grounded tones, steady pulse, and minimal emotional charge, it models what it feels like to remain unmoved while reducing exposure.

This is not an arc about empowerment.
     It is not about confrontation.
It is not about proving anything.

It is about lowering sensory input.
     Holding your line.
     Conserving energy.

When external noise cannot be controlled, this arc reinforces internal control. When boundaries are not respected, it strengthens the ones you can enforce.

    Low stimulus.
     High clarity.
     High boundary.

Safe enough to rest — even in the noise.

  • When You Are Not Seen: Grief, Boundaries, and Emotional Warfare

In this episode, I speak about something that doesn’t leave visible bruises — emotional and psychological erosion.

I share what it feels like to live in an environment where dismissal, contempt, and minimization are constant. Where my service as a Navy Veteran is reduced to “DEI” commentary. Where my trauma, chronic illness, and boundaries are treated as negotiable.

I also speak about a deeper layer of grief — watching my mother die from metastatic breast cancer from 2015 to 2020, largely alone. Being the one who held her hand, listened for every breath, helped her to the bathroom, spread her ashes by myself. And knowing that the door to caregiving closed at her bedside.

This episode also names the impact of repeated sexual assault in my life and the years of disbelief, victim-blaming, and silence that followed. I speak honestly about how those experiences shaped my nervous system, my guardedness, and my boundaries.

This is not an episode about rage.
     It is about grief.
     It is about clarity.
It is about recognizing when an environment is not sustainable.

And it is about choosing detachment, strategy, and self-preservation over argument.

As always, nothing is required of you while listening.

  • After the Rupture: Survival, Boundaries, and Choosing Freedom

This episode unfolds in four movements: readiness, rupture, survival, and sovereignty.

After discovering that my therapist was arrested, I found myself navigating shock, grief, and the collapse of a space I had prepared to open fully within. What followed was not just emotional fallout — it was clarity.

Through the songs I Was Ready, The Survival, I Am Not Carrying This, and I Am Free, this episode traces the nervous system’s journey from vulnerability to boundary to liberation.

This is not a story about scandal.
     It is about rupture.
     It is about emotional exhaustion.
It is about the moment you realize you do not have to carry what is not yours.

    Sometimes freedom is not dramatic.
     Sometimes it is simply deciding:
     Not my responsibility.

As always, nothing is required of you while listening.

  • Not My Responsibility

Not My Responsibility is a steady, grounded piece about the quiet power of refusing automatic caretaking. Built on a calm pulse and spacious resonance, this track centers emotional clarity over reaction.

It honors the moment when you recognize that another adult’s inconvenience is not your emergency. That exhaustion is a signal. That capacity has limits. That boundaries do not require hostility to be real.

This is not a song about anger.
     It is about discernment.

    About conserving energy.
About stepping out of roles you were never meant to carry.

Sometimes strength is not in doing more.
Sometimes it is in choosing not to.

  • I was Ready

I Was Ready is a grounded, heartbeat-driven piece written from the moment before vulnerability — the moment you decide to speak what has long been held inside.

This track carries the weight of preparation. The courage it takes to open. The internal crossing of a line you don’t cross easily. Beneath steady percussion, spacious tones hold the tension between readiness and rupture.

This is not a song about collapse.
It is about the bravery of showing up.

Even if the room is empty.
     Even if the container breaks.

    The readiness was real.
     The courage was yours.

    And that cannot be undone.

  • After the Rupture

After the Rupture is a slow, grounded ambient piece created for the space that follows shock — when something trusted collapses and the body is left holding the impact.

There is no dramatic swell in this track. No forced resolution. Instead, a steady pulse carries beneath spacious tones, honoring the nervous system as it recalibrates. The music does not rush you toward forgiveness, clarity, or closure. It simply stays.

This piece is for the quiet aftermath — when anger and sadness sit side by side, when exhaustion replaces adrenaline, when you realize you survived the moment but are still integrating what broke.

    Here, healing is not demanded.
     Stability is not assumed.
     Presence is enough.

  • Found out my Therapist was Arrested

This episode explores the shock of discovering that a trusted therapist has been arrested—and the emotional rupture that follows. When you have prepared to speak the hardest truths, only to have the container collapse, the impact is not just logistical. It is nervous-system level.

In this reflection, I speak honestly about attachment, betrayal, anger, grief, and the exhaustion that comes when stability disappears without warning. I also examine what it means to hold boundaries in the aftermath—especially when your system is already overwhelmed.

This is not an episode about scandal.
     It is about rupture.
It is about readiness that didn’t get witnessed.
It is about survival after sudden instability.

If you have ever shown up vulnerable and found the room empty, this conversation may feel familiar.
