But they also meet up with an old friend/fighting buddy Irabeth! Now that Irabeth, and Anivia are together once again, the party can see some semblance of hope. Armed with the list of names of the cult members, and the knowledge that the descendants of the First Crusade are waiting to join the battle, they notify Irabeth of what has been going on thus far. Even though things look bleak, the party seems to have a direction, a plan of sorts, and they mean to act on it. Not soon after the meeting with Irabeth and the other leaders of the defense concluded, a priestess from the church that aided Conner, notified him that his mentor and friend Swolbro perished during the initial attack on the city, and beckoned for Conner to come with her to discuss matters. Soon after the party healed, the cleansing continued, and we saw first hand what a demon empowered cleric can do, as a minotaur came barreling out during a fight, and gave Henny, Nell, and Artura a run for their money, as Sortek, and Conner fought a number of cultists as well. It all culminated in some discovery of treasure, and a finley crafted sword, locked away, and when drawn, caused a harmlessly briliant light to shine out, well, harmless to those who are not Chaotic.
