Episode 10 features BMCS(SEAL) Don Shipley (ret).  If all of those letters don't mean anything to you, let me break it down for you.  United States Navy Senior Chief Boatswains Mate(SEAL) Retired Don Shipley.  Don entered the Navy in 1978 and graduated from Basic Underwater Demolition/SEALs (BUD/S) class 131 in 1984.  He served on SEAL Teams 1 & 2, as well as other units throughout his career.  

Don had, (listen to the podcast) a YouTube channel that would call out phony SEALs.  We share some sea stories together, talk about some of his memories serving our Country and about some of the phonies that he's called out and exposed over the years.

Episode seven's guest is a good friend of mine.  Chuk is openly gay and served in the Navy during the time of the Don't Ask Don't Tell (DADT) policy.  He shares with us when he realized that he was gay, how his family took his coming out and the difficulty of hiding his true self while serving his country.

As a straight man, I am super proud of Chuk and support him 100%.  I'm proud to call him my brother.  I can never understand what it is like to have to hide who you are; I do know that it takes an extra strong and special person to be able to do it.

My whole goal with this episode was to bring awareness to the LGBT community, and to maybe educate some of the "haters" out there that just because someone is gay, it doesn't mean that they are that different from them.
