Moneybagg Yo has officially announced his upcoming album, A Gangsta’s Pain. The forthcoming record marks the Memphis rapper’s fourth full-length effort following January 2020’s Time Served, May 2019’s 43va Heartless and his November 2018 debut, Reset. The tracklist and features list are yet to be revealed, but fans can expect Moneybagg Yo’s “Time Today,” which was recently certified gold by the RIAA, to appear on the record. To celebrate the announcement, the rapper shared a new single entitled “GO!” with fellow Memphis star BIG30. The unapologetic and undeniable anthem hears head-nodding hooks and bold bars from the titans, providing a 21st century Southern rap masterclass.

Resident Evil Village is an upcoming survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It is a major installment in the Resident Evil series and a narrative sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017).[1] It also includes an online multiplayer mode, Resident Evil RE:Verse. It was announced at the PlayStation 5 reveal event in June 2020 and is scheduled for release on May 7, 2021, for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.

Young Thug and his YSL imprint are back today with Slime Language 2, the sequel to their 2018 compilation album Slime Language. It features verses from YSL rappers like Thugger, Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Duke, Yak Gotti, and more, as well as Drake, Future, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Rowdy Rebel, Kid Cudi, Skepta, Big Sean, Coi Leray, and more. Slime Language 2, while not a Young Thug solo project, will be the rapper’s first release since he dropped So Much Fun in 2019. That album helped Thugger achieve a new level of commercial success, becoming his first No. 1 and eventually going Platinum while spawning hits like “The London” and “Hot.” Fans have been eagerly awaiting his follow-up ever since in what’s been an uncustomary quiet period of the rapper’s career for solo releases. Recent songs like “That Go!” and “Bad Boy” first offered hints at his next move. The original Slime Language debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, moving 41,000 equivalent album units in its first week. The project’s biggest hit was “Chanel (Go Get It),” which peaked at No. 78 on the Hot 100 and eventually went Platinum.

The Last of Us first released on PlayStation 3 all the way back in 2013, and now it appears Sony has been quietly working on a remake. A report from Jason Schreier for Bloomberg reveals some of the inner workings of Sony’s PlayStation Studios and how a remake for the beloved postapocalyptic action-adventure has been passed around. Visual Arts Service Group is a Sony-owned studio in San Diego that assists with a variety of the company’s projects, from games to movies, and the former director of the group Michael Mumbauer split off from Visual Arts to form a new studio. After amassing a team of around 30 people, they began work on a remake of The Last of Us for the PlayStation 5. While the status of the project is currently unclear, it was reportedly handed off to original developer Naughty Dog relatively recently. The new studio was never given a name, and reportedly did not receive the support it needed to get the project completed. Mumbauer has since left the company, and the rest of the leadership at the new team has also disbanded. While this is likely good news for Last of Us fans, it paints a less than encouraging picture of Sony’s increased focus on blockbuster games.

DMX, a rapper known as much for his troubles as his music, has died, his family announced in a statement. He was 50. "We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days," family's statement read in part. "Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end," the family continued. "He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him." The artist had been hospitalized since last week when he suffered a heart attack at his home in New York, according to his longtime attorney, Murray Richman.

Doja Cat and SZA have one question: Can you "Kiss Me More?" They dropped their first-ever collaboration on Friday (April 9), which is the first taste of the Doja's upcoming third album Planet Her, due this summer. SZA interviewed Doja for the surreal 3D cover of V Magazine in March, in which the former described "Kiss Me More" as "a different strut" in terms of the song's sound as the latter described what genres she's more drawn to -- "the house, disco, vintage-y essences—that’s where my heart kind of lies." The slinky, sensual jam will definitely be a summer playlist staple with its groovy bass line harkening back to Doja's career-first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 "Say So" and its playful lyrics about spelling out one's name on the inside of a lover's mouth ("Boy, you write your name, I can do the same/ Oh, I love the taste, la-la-la-la-la," Doja whispers in the post-chorus before switching into a full-on pop sing-a-long chant, "All on my tongue, I want it!") Meanwhile, SZA knows her worth and asserts that she deserves better and all their friends even know it when she croons, "All your ni---s say that you lost without me/ All my bi---es feel like I dodged it, don't need."
