During The Game Awards 2020, Turtle Rock announced Back 4 Blood, a new multiplayer zombie game coming to Xbox and PlayStation next year. If the trailer looks familiar, that's because it looks eerily like Left 4 Dead. This is for good reason because Turtle Rock developed the first Left 4 Dead game under Valve. Not a lot is known about Back 4 Blood at this time, but it will release on June 22, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC (pending any delays, obviously, because it's been a weird year and we live in a weird world). There will be a closed alpha taking place later this month on December 17. A gameplay livestream will also take place on the same day. Turtle Rock's previous game, Evolve, was an asymmetrical multiplayer game that pitted three hunters against a gigantic monster. It unfortunately never gained popularity and the studio ended up transitioning it to a free-to-play title before shutting down its dedicated servers entirely in 2018. Here's hoping the developer finds more success with Back 4 Blood. The Game Awards 2020 livestream is still going on so be sure to tune-in and keep up with all of the latest winners and world premieres. Earlier Microsite's The Initiative announced a new Perfect Dark game, which was rumored to be in development for some time now. The hype and anticipation around Playboi Carti’s Whole Lotta Red album have hit its ceiling. The Die Lit follow-up is long overdue after a number of hints, snippets, and more. Carti even previewed a track that is set to feature the legendary, Kanye West. Ye will serve as the executive producer for the album as well. According to Playboi Carti, the album has been turned in and will reportedly be the first gift to unwrap on Christmas Day. As we get closer to the release day, the album’s cameos continue to reveal themselves. Along with Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert confirmed his cameo on ‘Whole Lotta Red’ as well The Eternal Atake. The Philly rapper was with a friend on Instagram Live, where fans were commenting. One fan asked if Uzi was too appear on ‘Whole Lotta Red.’ He responded by saying, “yeah I’m on track 3.” Carti also confirmed that Kid Cudi will also make his appearance on the album as well. The police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana were ordered to return $47,000 they took from the rapper when he was arrested in September. The cops seized the cash when they raided a house as members of the NBA (Never Broke Again) crew and the Bottom Boy Gorilla (BBG) group were shooting a rap video in a house on September 28th. The authorities also confiscated drugs, and 14 guns, along with NBA Youngboy’s cash. In a ruling today, a local judge agreed that the seizure of NBA Youngboy’s cash was “illegal and unconstitutional.” According to The Advocate, prosecutors did not provide enough evidence to prove the rap star’s cash was contraband. Investigators are still reviewing the evidence collected during the September 28th raid. So far, no one has been charged with any crime in connection to the bust.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s release is just a knife’s edge away, so we’ve rounded up all the reviews for Ubisoft’s latest huge open-world action-adventure to see what the critical consensus is. Having headed to Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece, this new Assassin’s Creed title is set around the Viking invasion of Britain, with players taking on the role of either a male or female Eivor as they – as all series heroes do – become tangled in the war between Assassins and Templars. “Ubisoft has nailed the world, the music, and made some smart refinements to how it plays. The early build I played was a bit janky in parts, though, and it feels like the game could do with a fair bit more polish at this point. Still, I’m excited to see the final thing when it releases later this year.

Eminem has dropped a surprise companion LP to his 11th studio album, Music to Be Murdered By, which was released in January. The Detroit rapper was mum about the new album, Music to Be Murdered By ­– Side B, prior to its Thursday at midnight arrival, despite social media speculation of its existence. Executive produced by Eminem and Dr. Dre, the deluxe edition of the album features Skylar Grey, DJ Premier, Ty Dolla $ign, Dr. Dre, Sly Pyper, MAJ and White Gold.

Lil Wayne has capped off the year with more heat in Side B of No Ceilings 3. Toward the end of the initial NC3 release's closing track, "Afro," DJ Khaled informed listeners that "part 2 is coming soon." As we all know, "soon" is a noncommittal word that is used for a wide range of ETAs, especially when it comes to promised music releases. Would it come in a few weeks? A few months? Maybe a year? No one really knew—that is, until tonight. Just weeks after No Ceilings 3 dropped, Young Money announced Wayne would drop the album's much-anticipated B side exclusively on DatPiff. The 14-track project, hosted by Khaled, consists of titles like "Low Down," "Peanut Butter," and "Sum 2 Prove," and includes guest appearances by everyone from 2 Chainz and Rich the Kid to Lil Twist and Big Sean.

Bobby Shmurda’s GS9 associate, Chad “Rowdy Rebel” Marshall is finally a free man. Rowdy Rebel was signed to Epic Records with Bobby and scored hits with “Hot N####” and “Shmoney Dance.” Their careers were interrupted after Rowdy, Bobby, and 13 members of the GS9 crew were hauled off to jail in December of 2014. The guys were investigated by the NYPD for two years. Rowdy Rebel was eventually charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, conspiracy, attempted murder, attempted assault, and reckless endangerment. Rowdy eventually pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree conspiracy and one count of weapons possession to get a lighter sentence. According to the terms of his release, Rowdy will still be under community supervision until December 15th, 2025. In 2016, Ackquille “Bobby Shmurda” Pollard pled guilty to federal conspiracy in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second-degree charges. Bobby Shmurda was sentenced to seven years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision. He’s due out of prison next year (December 2021) after his latest bid for parole was denied.
